  1. Is this release likely to bring down the price of the SIII some more? And what happened to the 2013 release date for the 5.5 inch device? Could it be something from LG or HTC?
  2. Agreed. Many people are claiming they're switching to Verizon or T-Mobile. If I was out of contract right now I would switch but I have to wait until December, this is probably a good thing for me since there will most likely be some development on NV in the Phoenix area by then.
  3. Some of us do understand, the average customer probably doesn't, and honestly the majority of us probably don't care. What we do know is that we have 4G devices but no signal, this is why we get frustrated and why many switch or consider switching carriers. We use the internet (and sites like this) to vent.
  4. It is great news but Phoenix has been waiting for 4G for 2+ years. The majority of people don't know about the technicalities that Sprint has to go through to get 4G here, they just know that there's no signal. For this reason they get frustrated and we can't really blame them.
  5. I know, I'm just bitter that's all. It's probably more jealousy than bitterness.
  6. I'm happy for the 10 Sprint costumers in Sedalia but I wish Sprint would hurry up and launch in cities that matter, like Phoenix! (Yes I am very bitter)
  7. My sister complains about the 3G connection on her EVO LTE. She says she gets disconnected from the internet way too frequently even though she has sufficient signal. I'm not sure if it's just Sprint's inferior network or the EVO LTE. I told her to update the PRL and profile but I'm not sure if she did, she probably doesn't know how.
  8. I hope Sprint gets this and in a timely manner, I know 3 people that have been patiently waiting for the Note to come to Sprint.
  9. If I'm rooted and running a custom ROM, will this update affect my phone at all? I have 1.5 hboot and s on.
  10. Running MeanROM 4.3 with Go launcher and Beautiful Widgets.
  11. http://www.engadget.com/2012/05/16/verizon-cfo-says-grandfathered-unlimited-plans-on-the-way-out/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+weblogsinc%2Fengadget+%28Engadget%29 If Sprint has a turbo button on LTE deployment, now might be a good time to push it.
  12. That's too bad. My brother, sister, and gf all wanted the Note. My sister even mentioned switching to AT&T like you did.
  13. So Sprint confirmed the EVO's launch date, announced a hotspot device and a push-to-talk app but no Note. Does this mean no Note for 2012?
  14. If that is the GSIII then which carriers are getting it in June? http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-release-date-is-set-for-May-29th-June-for-USA_id29764 I've seen a few websites that said it's coming to the US in June...
  15. Won't Motorola phones become more "unlocked" or "free" now that it's owned by Google?
  16. http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/3/2996368/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-coming-to-sprint-sources-say Sources say it's coming to Sprint but that's no surprise. I'll most likely get this over the EVO 4G LTE but I will confirm that when I get a chance to play with both phones.
  17. I saw a very noticeable increase in speeds in the Phoenix area a few weeks ago but they seem to be fluctuating a since then. Right now I'm getting almost 200kbps, one hour from now the average speed might go down to 20kbps or it might jump another 100 to about 300kbps. I figured it might be work that they are doing on the towers but it's been going on for a while now so who knows.
  18. I spend some time in an unofficial WiMAX area and it's pretty bad. The speeds are fast but I get disconnect too often that it's practivally unusable.
  19. IDK about its embedded battery. Sometimes my EVO 3D will become unresponsive and holding down the power button doesn't do anything, I have to take the battery out. How will that work on the EVO LTE?
  20. I installed Roam Control and I'm forcing my phone to roam, I'm getting a steading 900kbps. Problem temporarily solved.
  21. My speeds are fluctuating a lot, I can get anywhere from 1-300kbps. I'm trying to download all my apps again but I get a lot of network errors. I ran a speed test in the restroom (in the middle of the building away from all windows) and averaged about 900kbps. I usually get higher speeds in that restroom but never that high. My EVO has S-ON so IDK if I should flash a radio, XDA says not to. Maybe I'm just going crazy and I should leave the phone alone and see what happens tomorrow.
  22. I rooted my phone with HTC's tool and it did a factory reset. My speeds are back down to 10-30kbps even after doing a profile and PRL update. I was getting 200kbps+ before the factory reset. What gives?
  23. LOL, I hope they keep their word. Capped LTE sounds very stupid and I don't doubt I can reach the 2 or 3GB cap in a few days.
  24. Yes, I rarely lack bars but download speeds are really slow. The increased speeds haven't made all across the city though, I was at a park Saturday morning and had full bars with upload speeds of about 900kbps and dl speeds of just under 100kbps. I even lost connectivity twice.
