  1. It's not unsual for those bandages to be applied at the same time? It seems weird that all of a sudden I'm getting decent speeds everywhere I go.
  2. For the past 3 days I've been experiencing much faster data speeds throughout the Phoenix metro area. Last week the highest speeds I would get were about 900kbps and that was standing a few feet from Sprint's tower, now I can get over 1000kbps standing 2 miles from that tower. The apartment complex I live in is almost a dead zone, speeds there have always been around 10-40kbps, standing outside. It has been that way since I first got Sprint about 1.5 years ago but last Friday night I hit about 1400kbps and my phone showed almost all bars, typically I get anywhere from 0-2 bars. The speeds did drop on Saturday and Sunday but not by much, I'm getting about 500kbps. So what gives? Did Sprint flip on some sort of switch or was there some issue with my phone or am I going crazy?
  3. Nice, hopefully we see some sites completed by the end of the year. Here in Tempe I was getting download speeds of about 20kbps for the past few months but all this week I've been averging about 200kbps. Today though I'm getting about 600kbps and upload speeds of about 300kbps, one of the very few times my download speeds are higher than my upload speeds. Things are looking good right now
  4. 4G LTE on capped data plans is as pointless and Sprint's slower-than-dial-up speeds with no caps, IMO. It wouldn't surprise me if Sprint did away with its "truly unlimited" plans once their speeds catch up to the rest of the carriers. I'm guessing they'll probably give us bigger caps than the other guys though, maybe 5GBs a month?
  5. Fortunately for Sprint I was too late to cancel my contract without penatly, hopefuly they hurry up with the enhancements.
  6. I don't really care about LTE and 4G speeds right now, I just want useful 3G. There are very few spots in the Phoenix area where I can get speeds faster than 400kbps, I would say I average around 100kbps. Right now I ran a few speed tests and I'm getting about 20kbps. That's just not going to do, not when my bill is going to go up an additional $30/month if I renew and activate 3 smartphones and not when I can get much much better coverage with T-Mobile for just $5/month.
  7. I think I'll go ahead and lose hope of Phoenix getting Sprint's LTE this year and if we do it probably will be as good as Clearwire's 4G that we have right now. I wonder if I can still get out of my contract without penatly over the change in discounts, some people claim they did.
  8. http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/09/exclusive-sprint-ipad-best-buy/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+weblogsinc%2Fengadget+%28Engadget%29 Looks like Sprint will get the iPad.
  9. I just lost my 3G connection for a few minutes, signal showed near full strength but no 3G. I don't even care about 4G right now, I just want decent 3G I find it really odd that my signal strength has been fluctuating a lot the past couple of weeks. It will show 0 bars for a few seconds then jump to full strength for another few seconds then go down to 3 or 4 bars where it stays at most of the time. It does this pretty much all day.
  10. I've had one for almost a year now. When I first activated my EVO 3D I couldn't send or receive text messages, I called Sprint support and they weren't able to help. As soon as I walked out of the Airave's range the problem went away and fortunately it never came back. Other than that and the occasional reboot I've never had any problems with it.
  11. The problem with that fee is that our 3G speeds are unbelievably slow. I don't have a problem with my bill going up an additional $50/month for all 5 lines if we had decent coverage with unlimited data.
  12. I know how you feel. A similar phone plan with T-Mobile costs me just $5 more per month compared to Sprint. I know T-Mobile will throttle my data after 2GBs but with Sprint's 3G I'm getting .02Mbps in Tempe, AZ so it wouldn't matter to me. I'm considering paying the ETFs and going to T-Mobile. Paying for truly unlimited data with Sprint means nothing when I can't even stream a song.
