  1. Who's our backhaul provider? There's some contractors (in unmarked trucks) pulling fiber really close to the two sites near my house that need it. I wish I had time to stop and talk to the contractors..

    LG G3

So that puts the g3 at right about the same rf performance as the n5 with the newest radio(4.4.4). That's a sign of good things coming!
  3. Picked up some B26 in the valley today, and here's the b41 I was getting the other day. I got an engineering screen to make sure.
  4. Take the case off, get a clip and some paper or something(so you won't break it) and clamp it. If you don't do it immediately it'll be there permanently.
  5. They work, for instance the .15 works even with non ecsfb enabled b41/26. However they weren't specifically designed with spark capability in mind like the 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 radios were (and future ones of course).
  6. One hundred and fifty dollars. How is that not clear 0.o'.....
  7. I wasn't referring to roaming, I meant native coverage. If I'd been including roaming I'd have said so. By superior data I meant places where I had 3g and they had hspa+. In regards to voice coverage I was really referring to quality, I've used tin cans that sounded better than att did in places. The sole reason the people I was with is for the 20gb family plan. With these new options its going to be quite a bit easier to convince them to switch.
  8. Across Missouri, and on a trip from STL to Cincinnati my coverage on Sprint was superior to the other four peoples coverage on att(3 iPhone 5s's and a G2). Sure there were some spots where they may have had faster data, but whenever anyone needed to make a call they used my phone. Att dropped calls like a mofo and the quality was garbage. I'm hoping for this new unlimited plan to be available nationwide soon, I'd switch over in a heart beat because the subsidy is doing nothing but costing me money.
  9. I left the test open and screen shot it later. I was suddenly onset with things to hold, that's what I get for going shopping with a female lol.
  10. The engineering screen? I must have caught it switching, it was a fringe signal.
  11. Holiday shopping at the outlet mall in Chesterfield (premium, by 64/40), holding b41 inside most stores and held it just about everywhere in the bottoms. This was my lowest speed today, it was usually hovering around 25mbs down.
  12. Oh, that does make more sense. Thank you for clarifying. Could you possibly link or pm the places you saw/read about the supposed changes? I was going off my being way above the supposed 5gig =top 5% rough estimate. That and the fact that I know the areas I was at were receiving large amounts of traffic, so it would be a perfect cause for Sprint to implement the policy. I even tested it by purposely streaming HD shows and doing a sustained 1gb download simultaneously (after the initial buffer of course lol).
  13. I doubt that, and I'll continue to doubt until I see proof otherwise. I fully believe Sprint is and will use their version of throttling. I just believe they're doing it so well that we can't even notice, it just seems like normal network fluctuations to us while its occurring. To be honest they'd be stupid to not use it, letting one person camp a sector and completely bog down one band of LTE in an urban area is not acceptable. Think about it like this. Say someone decided to illegally tether their phone on a sector or two that services Forest park over this weekend. It'd take the usable decent speeds Evan got of 5/5mbs and probably make them legacy 3g speeds of less than 1mb for every other person on that/those sectors. How is it fair to let one ignorant bastard ruin all those peoples experience over their holiday fun? Or more importantly ruin the perception of Sprint's network for every person there? We need more people to become customers of Sprint, not less, so that they have capital to work with to keep the network in good condition, let us have our unlimited data, and hopefully put the current big two in their place.
  14. They're fixing it for free then? That's better than a refurbished one IMO. Sorry yours keeps breaking on you.
  15. If they give you a second replacement I'd say that's better customer service than the majority of companies. Heck I had to fight a regional manager in an apple store one time because my launch day 64gb iPhone 5 had the charging port fail on the second day (obviously a manufacturing error). All in all I'd really be fine with LG making the next nexus, they make quality products in my experience.
  16. Just in case anyone was wondering about the 'throttling' Sprint is supposedly using. I've been in numerous high traffic areas throughout St Louis the past week (during peak hours) and I didn't get throttled down once, at least not anywhere close to noticeable. I also used 25gb's of data last billing cycle(just reset this morning), abnormally high for me(streaming Netflix in HD while at hospitals waiting for various people to get out of surgery) which should more than adequately qualify me to be in the top 5%. So either that supposed 5gb threshold was quite a bit off or their really being effective and smart with this, to the point that the person being managed is still having a decent experience.
  17. Its not even aimed at that tower really If my calculations are correct it was barely grabbing the edge of one sector. But yeah b26 is great once its tuned:D.
  18. Huh they must have updated the pages, that's essentially a newer model of the one I have. Thanks for the info, I'm going to try adjusting it to see if I can get it to boost the signal just enough to cover my house. Its literally the last place I need LTE.
  19. Well that's neat. From the research I did before getting one I didn't find any able to boost b25, so I thought b26 wouldn't be able either. Restroom as in it has a toilet. It is neither a bathroom or half bath because it doesn't have a bathtub or shower. Yes it's basically only guys that use that one. It's off our mud room right by the garage, so its convenient when you're working on stuff outside.
  20. Because I check on my towers regularly, actually I know the towers in my county pretty well lol. By near its like 8ish miles away. The two towers closest to my house aren't broadcasting any LTE yet actually.
  21. So in my house we have a Wilson amp/booster. Well its really in our garage area because it'd be a dead spot without it. I would say in the past 5ish days (since b26 was optimized on the only tower near me broadcasting it) while in the restroom maybe 5 feet from the antenna that is rebroadcasting the signal I've been able to pick up b26. I cannot however hold it when I stray further into my house, or pick it up in the furthest part of my yard closest to the tower(its another quarter mile or so closer). Which is what leads me to believe its the amp/booster. I tried checking online but none of the various models have claimed to or shown to work with Sprint's LTE (excluding the car one, which I couldn't find anywhere saying it works with b26). Has anyone else experienced this or have more knowledge as to if this is even possible or not? Edit: It's also not pointing directly at that tower its pointing sort of at one sector of it that overlaps a closer one. I'm going to try repositioning it this weekend. Also even with the amp nerfing speeds I'm still getting 2-5mbs down during peak hours which is loads better than the crappy 3g we normally get.
  22. Honestly why wouldn't they? They made a plastic iPhone to get the cheaper end of the market. Why would they give up the smaller handset market, aka females, guys with smaller hands, and people who prefer their to use their tablet as a tablet instead of their phone lol? It makes complete sense to me for them to go the three handset route, the 5/5s size, phablet size, and then the plastic cheapo model. Samsung started making at least three versions of its handset with the s4 and they're obviously making profit or they wouldn't be doing it for the s5 again. Does anyone really see apple forgoing the chance to carve out and keep more of the market?
  23. No problem, its good to learn this before I go flashing L to test it out. Headaches are better when they're outsourced;).
  24. Honestly, I'd try flashing the 4.4.4 factory image. It might be something leftover from the L preview dicking things up.
  25. Are you on the L preview with the older radio? Or were you just running the L radio?
