  1. I've seen that also, there seems to be a tiny LTE coverage spot riiiiight on the bridge
  2. if you're in LTE coverage, forces the phone to connect to it, seems to be an issue on the Evo LTE and the Galaxy S3 Shawn, go to the Settings menu, should be the first option.
  3. data service has generally been worthless this week in the Metro area, when I can manage to connect I mostly have 1x service (I've had problems in Bayamon, Guaynabo and Hato Rey)
  4. tonight I saw a tiny spot of LTE coverage in Ave. Main, Santa Rosa, Bayamon, there's also WiMax in that spot.
  5. PayPal donation button is located in the right-hand part of the main forum page: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/index
  6. if you mean right on the phone without using a computer, then no for some reason, HTC took out that functionality from EPST
  7. don't worry about it, we're all excited for the good news Robert brings every week, and tempers might flare up sometimes because of that
  8. be patient, it won't be up 'till tomorrow morning. he's mentioned that updates are getting so large he needs 6-8 hours for each weekly one.
  9. managed to connect for a bit, and there was definitely a fair amount of airplane mode toggling involved... also tried updating OTA to a stock PRL, to see if I could connect to LTE like digiblur asked, but the phone just said "No PRL update available", so my experiments will have to wait for another day
  10. that's awesome! I'll be passing by there again in a while, I'll try to get a connection this time... EDIT: egonadrian, what's your setup? are you using a stock PRL or digiblur's modded one? do you have your phone set to LTE only or normal CDMA/LTE operation? I'm trying to figure out why my phone seems to not sniff out the LTE signal and connect in known LTE areas right now, thanks!
  11. I passed by this area about an hour ago and couldn't find any LTE signal, even had my Evo set to LTE only using digiblur's modded PRL and nada; set it back to CDMA/LTE around Canton Mall and the LTE indicator lit up but had no data transfer, so I couldn't test speeds
  12. all I'm getting in Bayamon today is 1x on my Evo LTE, hopefully a sign of good things to come!
  13. could be... last week I had a 1800 kbps test while going thru there, so it's quite possible NV's getting worked on in the area
  14. for some reason, that spot has always had great speeds, though I don't know if it's been upgraded already
  15. just: WOW! if we can get even half those speeds in real-world usage once the network's officially launched, it's gonna be awesome and I'm gonna be real happy!
  16. no problem! it's certainly not as easy as it was before, but not really as complicated as it looks either... good luck!
  17. seems like the only way to do it is using a PC, THIS is the guide I followed. not as easy as it was on previous HTC phones where it could be changed right on the device
  18. well, I mapped the trip home after class, from Hato Rey to Bayamon, and as expected, saw no LTE sites (using digiblur's modified PRL)... hopefully soon!!
  19. we don't really know the reasons they are working on sites in that order, but what I'm thinking is that they're finishing up the sites outside the Metro area, so that they'll be able to tackle the ones in the Metro area in one fell swoop, maybe in November or early December. also, maybe work on the LTE core hasn't been completed, they could be waiting for that, and when they finish up the Metro area, light up LTE on the whole island (probably too optimistic thinking on my part)
