  1. What is the original EARFCN for DC? Alu isn't supposed to have 2nd carrier yet....
  2. Not down here...must be your provider. Websites don't need to be taken offline to update pages... And if they had to take it down for maintenance they wouldn't do it in the middle of the day.
  3. Cricket CDMA has mostly been shutdown already. AT&T started back in March/April and shut down another round in May/June. The final markets will be shutdown in August/September. See http://www.fiercewireless.com/press-releases/cricket-network-shutdown Cricket CDMA roaming has probably been removed from the map for a while now.
  4. Sprint's #AllIn ad earned a 9.0/10 effectiveness rating according to ispot.tv https://twitter.com/ispottv/status/621734624159379456
  5. As if there was any doubt that Softbank still backs Sprint http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/softbanks-arora-sprints-claure-will-make-things-happen-turnaround/2015-07-15
  6. T-Mobile updated their coverage maps today, and the map now operates like Sprint's map where it shows all native and roaming coverage as one color (magenta of course) until you zoom in a few levels
  7. Puerto Rico getting the Spark treatment https://twitter.com/marceloclaure/status/620425988187357184
  8. Old Alltel agreement. Not sure who owns that Alltel market now.
  9. I find it odd that they aren't updating their maps that quick. You would think they would want to put the best possible image of their coverage out for potential customers to see.
  10. Interesting... I was taking a look at T-Mobile's preliminary results for customer adds in Q2, and their postpaid net phone adds dropped from 991,000 to 760,000, and postpaid mobile broadband net additions jumped from 134,000 to 248,000. If you ask me, that looks like they are "padding" lower phone adds with higher mobile broadband adds.
  11. They didn't round, it was reported as 2.45. They also noted that through the first month of Q2 they were at 2.75 port ratio vs Sprint, so something happened in the remaining 2 months of the quarter to help drop it back to Q1 levels. http://www.rcrwireless.com/20150429/carriers/t-mobile-us-set-to-maintain-competitive-pressure-on-verizon-att-and-sprint-tag2
  12. Well they can, but NLOS MW is much easier. Here's an Ericsson paper on it.http://www.ericsson.com/news/130222-non-line-of-sight-microwave-backhaul-for-small-cells_244129229_c
  13. It's a reciprocal roaming agreement, so it won't cost them near as much as domestic roaming does.
  14. I was just about to post about that. I don't know where they're getting 290mil pops from. Nobody has discovered any new major expansion.
  15. Is that a Sprint/Clear colocation site?
  16. You aren't alone, because I agree. How can they possibly know what the market will be like in 5 years?
  17. Did anyone else see this report? They claim no major market shifts in the next 5 years. https://www.strategyanalytics.com/strategy-analytics/news/strategy-analytics-press-releases/strategy-analytics-press-release/2015/06/30/us-wireless-market-to-add-100-million-subscribers-by-2020-says-strategy-analytics#.VZ1EoPlVikr
  18. Oh boy, Craig Moffett again. Deja vu: http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/19/us-sprint-bankruptcyrisk-idUSBRE82I0OI20120319
  19. You have to switch to the "3G & more" map to see where EVDO roaming has been added. EVDO is shaded in a bright pink on the 3G maps.
  20. There was a technical outage today that halted trading and lasted several hours. Probably explains the massive losses today
  21. The coverage map has been updated to reflect that too. Staff is looking at it right now.
