I seemed to be noticing slightly better signals throughout DC, although I am not sure if that is actually NV, but I think Sprint is doing an admiral job of building out the network. EDIT: Also, when driving back from NC, I was noticing a lot of cell towers along the major highways that seemed to be in the process of being upgraded, with the antennas closer to the top of the tower, although they seemed to still have the older two antennas at the lower position as well.

I think I am experiencing upgraded 3G near the DC Area, in that I am getting above .5 mbps down and close to .5 mbps up consistently (topping out around 1.25 mbps down and .75 up) and ~120ms pings, as that seems too good for non NV. I also think that my old Optimus S, which was never very good to begin with, is the culprit here.

Dang it, this introduced a new variable into my search for a new phone. My contract is up in a couple of weeks, so I guess now the question is do I just get a SGSIII now or wait until November or so to get the rumored new Nexus. I will probably end up with the SIII, seeing as my Optimus S' mic broke and now won't do voice calls, is stuck on 2.3, and is terribly laggy (Even when OC'ed). Still, I am excited for the coming months, as my area will be getting LTE, and my SIII will be a revolution compared to my Optimus, which was my first smartphone.

I seem to be getting better reception in my house, which is just outside of DC (Silver Spring), and definitely faster 3G. I went from getting about 2 bars (out of 6) of reception to getting 3-5, and my speed is now consistently close to 1mbps down and around .5mbps up, with pings hovering around the low 100 range. This is testing connected to the DC Server. This makes me all the more excited to get my 32gb GSIII when my upgrade rolls around in a couple of weeks. This is an exciting time to be a sprint customer! EDIT: Nice to see another person in the silver spring area on these forums! Small world. How're you liking the GSIII?
