  1. This is what  I got from the confirmation email  from Sprint when requesting the SIM

    Item number 760494000114

Item description LTEGSM REMOV 4FF CSIM V3

Hmm below is what they shipped me.  Hopefully we both got ones that will work correctly...  :(

I had the rep 100% confirm during the chat that this sim card will work for the new Moto X Pure.

  2. You can always try international chat support. Always have had good experiences with them. Sims gets shipped pretty quickly and usually arrive in 2-3 business days.

Yeah...  I just used normal Sprint Chat and they transferred me to the correct person.  Ordered it late Friday night and received it on Tuesday.  With the Labor Day holiday mixed in there, I would say that was pretty quick.  :tu:

  3. Anyone have any recommendations for a MicroSD card to put in this device?  Probably looking for solid read/write times since I only went with the 16GB and I would like to offload some apps to the card once Marshmallow comes out.

I have been looking at the SanDisk Extreme Pro, but if anyone else has any recommendations for anything better or less expensive let me know!  Probably looking for the 32GB or 64GB if there isn't much of a price difference.

  4. My 2015 Moto X (16 GB white/bamboo default configuration) purchased from Amazon is slated for delivery Friday 9/11.

    AJ

Meh..  My device from Moto is still in the "Device is being built" stage.  Looking like the 9/17 date is going to be pretty accurate.  My hopes for that being a "safe" date is slowly diminishing.

Would've gone through Amazon, but the walnut back was calling my name.

I saw some people on Reddit getting updated notifications that it will be arriving tomorrow or 9/10.  I guess if there is someone here that gets it first, it might as well be you.  Just please give us a decent RF review whenever possible.   :tu:

  5. Swappa.com is a great site for selling phones if you haven't already done so already.

Yeah. I will probably end up going that route.

Man I just reactivated my Nexus. Honestly seems so smooth. And I missed the extra screen real estate. Probably was a good idea to use this for awhile so I didn't have to go straight from the 4.7 inch iPhone to the 5.7 inch Moto X.

  6. All those Apple lovers in DoIT and you can't find a buyer???

Meh..  Good point.  Although you would be surprised.  Most that I work with on a day to day basis have Androids.  Software developers usually like the freedom to do whatever they want to their devices.  iOS gets boring.

  7. I assume you reordered your failed order? The Milwaukee market needs you back. Been rrreeeaaaalll quiet over there. I guess not much to report really.

Sorry, we did get a new tower on the East side though in Madison. That was exciting.

Yeah I reordered it later that night.  Just miss Android too much, ha.  Going back to my old Nexus 5 until the Moto X comes in since I am trying to sell the iPhone.  If you know anyone that wants one, let me know!  Ha.

  8. Well I went ahead and ordered a new SIM card via Sprint Chat.  Should be here early next week - well before my new Moto X arrives!

I read the Motorola Order Status had/has a glitch by showing 'Order Complete' as the status, but here's to hoping they had some pre-made and start shipping earlier than expected!  :D

I know that phone is supposed to look like the S4GRU colors...  but man..  Every time I look at it I think Green Bay Packers.  And I live in WI and hate the Packers.

Maybe I'll throw a little in for it even though I already pre-ordered.  Wife might need a new phone soon.  :D

  10. One note, in ordering directly from Motorola, I never got prompted to define the carrier to have the sim ship with it. I guess I'll have to hit up my local Sprint store

Good point.  I didn't even notice that.  I'll probably just use Sprint Chat and get one mailed to me in advance.  I ended up re-buying it last night and they quoted me the same Sept 17th date they originally did before my order ran into issues the first time.

  11. You are worse than me!!!!  Your wife (assuming, GF, partner, hey, who are we to judge) must hate your decision making!!  Ha, that was like less than 20 minutes total in that waffle, wafer and purchase.

If WiFi calling works, this may be one I'd consider.  I'm still assuming it won't work though.  Please someone prove me wrong.

Meh..  Well I was using a credit card I haven't used in a while because I have enough in cash back rewards to pretty much pay for most of the phone..  but since I hadn't used the card in awhile I got an email and text from their fraud department asking to confirm the purchase.  By time I got home from work and saw the messages, Motorola had already canceled the transaction..

Now all of the configurations I would be willing to go with are all backordered.  Guess it is a sign - maybe I need to wait for the Nexus announcement.

Oh and the 16GB has never been an issue for me (but I do agree that 32GB should be standard).  My 2013 Nexus 5 is 16GB and I never had less than 3 GB free.  I offload pictures and videos all the time and never play any real big games.  If this was a Samsung or LG device, I would probably feel a little bit more of a push to bump the storage since they like to throw in so many useless apps.

  12. Well I ordered one.  With the MicroSD slot and the fact that I don't install a ton of apps, I went with the 16GB version.  Went with the white front, walnut back, and silver accent.  Tried to keep it a little bit simple, but the wood backs really intrigued me.  ;)

Estimated delivery is 9/17 for me.

  13. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/7063-moto-x-2015-pure-edition/?p=440123

Literally says 32GB for Moto X at $399.99...

I understand that.  But it is also from Sprint, not Motorola - and only supposed to be an internal memo.  Historically, the Bamboo back has been an additional $25, and the 32GB version was an additional $50 (if you look at the Moto Maker for the 2014 version)  Seems possible since the 32GB Bamboo back happens to be exactly $75 extra.

Maybe Amazon is charging a little extra?  Guess we will find out in about 15 minutes.

  14. $474?  Isn't that a bit more than the $399 price?  I guess because of the Bamboo backing?  Seems steep for bamboo.

I think it is more also because of the 32GB.  Isn't the base model only 16GB?  This or the new Nexus 5 will most likely be the device to get me back to Android.  Really thinking about pre-ordering this from Moto in 30 minutes...

  15. I notice no issues with wi-fi calling, wi-fi, or LTE connectivity on 8.3. LTE improved in all aspects for me as well.

What are you guys talking about :rasp:

Yeah, I didn't want to rub it in anyone's face, but I'm getting much better LTE connectivity.  Holding it in areas I previously didn't on 8.2.  B)
