My iPhone 6s Plus is out for delivery. I can swing by at home during my lunch, but I sure hope they leave it at my door without a signature. Maybe they will buzz one of my neighbors and have them sign for it. I have witnessed that before.

Well no new 6s + for me yesterday. Sure enough, UPS sat on it for pretty much 24 hours before moving it from Louisville. It is now less than 2 hours away in drive time at Oak Creek, WI in a UPS warehouse. Scheduled for delivery early Monday morning. So for those of you that got your iPhones yesterday - I am assuming they did require a signature? I won't be home and neither will my wife on Monday (and I have a couple meetings in the AM so I can't work from home). I live in a secure apartment building for the time being, and usually UPS just leaves stuff right by my front door. Hoping that with the instructions to do so, that they will even with this delivery. I really wish Sprint wouldn't disable the pick up at UPS facility option though.

Well this was my tracking info from a SIM card they shipped me Next Day Air Saver. If UPS wants to get it to me today they could, but with Sprint shipping the phone 2 Day Air instead of Next Day Air Saver, I have my doubts (but I know this is standard practice with Sprint). The origin scan for the phone was around 1AM EDT, so not too far off of what it was with the SIM card. UPS tracking has been really delayed for me though. I woke up around 4AM CDT for a few minutes and the origin scan wasn't there even though it would've been 12AM CDT. I should know more in the next few hours. Edit: I don't know why, but I always get that Florence, SC entry on shipments. Must be something screwy with UPS tracking, ha.

Welp... Not looking good for me today. Finally got my real tracking number late last night. Originally had an estimated delivery of Monday. Now, it updated with the Origin scan in Louisville at 1 AM, but with a new scheduled delivery of Tuesday. If they were using Next Day Air, I would probably see it today (when I had a SIM card shipped from them last week for the Moto X Pure, it made a 5AM flight to Milwaukee and was at my door by 10:30AM), but seeing that scheduled delivery date is starting to make me feel like Monday will probably be the earliest with 2 Day Air. Oh well. When I first preordered it, the estimated ship date was 10/5-10/9. Glad to see Sprint was able to over-deliver and most likely get it to me pretty much asap after launch. Maybe UPS just wants to get all of these iPhones out of their system and will get it to me today. I know they could if they really wanted.

So very interesting... So I went to UPS and used their track by reference number and put in my Sprint account number. They have a shipment in: "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" but it currently has VERY limited information, including a to address of only Louisville, KY (I live in Wisconsin). - No estimated delivery date or anything... I wonder if this label is for the shipment from China to Louisville? Or if it is just waiting to update and this is in fact my tracking number for my home delivery. It is 2 day Air Saver, which I know Sprint uses for deliveries. Sort of thinking it would have to be marked as "International Shipping" if it was the China delivery. Maybe I will be lucky and it updates and gets here tomorrow? I know last year, my package didn't actually get picked up by UPS until 11:30 PM the night before and was at my door by noon. Pretty good travel time. About 12 hours from Louisville to Wisconsin. Guess I have to be patient and wait. Will definitely know when I wake up tomorrow if a delivery is realistic.

Looks like Sprint updated their shipping times for some models. I went with the 6s+ 64 GB in Silver and the expected ship date moved up from 10/5-10/9 to 9/28-10/2. It's a start I guess seeing as I could still have it next week. Kind of wish I stuck with the Space Gray color in that same model since it looks like they must have some in stock for shipment based on the 2-5 days standard shipping times. Oh well. I waited until the 19th to pre-order, now I get to deal with it. Maybe Sprint will pull a rabbit out of a hat and ship it today and I receive it tomorrow..... I can dream right? Honestly, the upgrades are a little meh to me this year, but after using the Moto X Pure for a week, I need that bigger screen! The regular 6 just doesn't cut it anymore.

So after my week hiatus, I have come back to Apple. The Moto X Pure, while a nice device, just wasn't for me. What I did learn though, is that I love bigger screens more than I thought, so I went ahead and returned the Moto X and jumped on the iPhone Forever plan. Preordered a 6s 64 GB Plus, and I am using my 6 in the meantime. Hoping for some slim stroke of luck that will bring it to my doorstep tomorrow since I have off of work already (ultrasound scheduled where my wife and I find out the gender of our first child - exciting!) My only gripe with the 6s+ is that Apple can't find a way to slim down the bezels. The screen size is smaller on this than the Moto X Pure, but the physical dimensions will be larger (except width). Maybe next year they can find a way to slim it down a bit, but then again with the fingerprint scanner, I guess that may be difficult. But happy Friday to those of you for sure receiving your devices in a couple days!

Seems to be fixed now. Weird. So in trying to figure out what the issue was, I do what you always do first in IT - reboot! After rebooting I opened up the Alerts tab in Preferences and noticed that the 1x 800 Audio Alert and LTE Audio Alert were somehow re-checked. (they truly were unchecked before rebooting. I made sure multiple times) Well I unchecked them again and all seems good now.- 4,980 replies

Well right now it is just the vibration alert since I have it on silent. I might be trying to make something out of nothing. Will definitely update later this evening.

Yeah... it seems to just be whenever it actually updates from the erroneous 1x and LTE to LTE 800. Maybe I am just crazy though ( ). I am at work still and only have it on vibrate - maybe something else is syncing and causing it at random times that is making me think it is SCP. I will know later today on my way home if that for sure is what is going on here.

So I have been off Android for awhile and I searched this topic but couldn't find anything conclusive. I know about the bug in Android 5.1 with the 1x showing up after finding LTE for awhile. However, I can't get the vibration/alerts to turn off when finding LTE. Is that another bug in the beta, or just something showing up on my MXPE? (and yes, I made sure the checkboxes are unchecked. )

Hardly scientific, but I have a few "spots" on my desk that I use to compare signals. My office is in a pretty weak area where I usually bounce around between unusable B25 and an okay B26 signal. I can say that my MXPE seems 3-5 dbm better than my N5 on B26. Haven't left my office yet to do any comparisons on B25 or B41. Note - my MXPE is showing about -102-104 (very steady) while my N5 would bounce around between -107-114 in the same area. My N5 tests were done approximately 30 minutes before the MXPE readings. I made sure these were on the same sites and same sectors. And right as I was ready to hit submit my MXPE switched to B25. -115 reading, probably about the same as the N5 if it can get B25 at all anymore.

Ahh. Thanks for the update. I guess that's what I get for going to iOS for a year. While I was using my Nexus 5 recently, I never updated to 5.1.

Anyone else notice how this device and SignalCheck Pro don't play real well together? I keep getting LTE without the band and no GCI. Seems to go back and forth... Also it is erroneously showing a 1x connection at the same time as LTE. Oh well. I ended up returning my Best Buy phone since it wouldn't activate and now I have my white and silver model with the walnut back. And it activated online without even needing to go into Chat. Very simple - they way it should be.

Bill I have a quick favor to ask you. If you go to this link and enter your MEID does it say your device can be activated on GSM and CDMA or GSM only? Trying to see if all we really need is the correct SIM or if some devices have been whitelisted while others aren't. https://ting.com/byod My N5 shows GSM and CDMA. But my Pure only shows GSM currently.

How did you get a hold of a Tech Support Supervisor? I keep getting passed on only to end up in the same menu. Getting very frustrated.

What SIM does the iPhone 6 use? When I pop that in, I at least get data from SignalCheck Pro.

On the bright spot, wasn't the S4T a pretty solid RF performer? And you said the readings are similar? So now Bestbuy's website updated and the closest BB has some in stock. Really thinking about scooping one up in the morning - but I want to know I won't have to spend the whole day trying to get it activated.

Please do. I am thinking about returning my Moto Maker one whenever it gets here and just picking up one at Best Buy tomorrow. Honestly, I don't really care what it looks like. I saw a nearby Bestbuy has the black one in stock. My device still hasn't shipped and my Nexus 5 doesn't hold a charge at all anymore. Lucky to get 6-8 hours of very light usage from it. The SIM they shipped me is SIMGLW406R. Doesn't look like Sprint was prepared. You would think they would be able to have somewhere within their system that says the exact SIM this device needs. Strange that everyone keeps getting different ones, ha.
