  1. My home internet is slow dsl but Wi-Fi calling works perfect for me. I think it sounds even better than a strong Sprint signal.
  2. That's absolutely true. If you have some ears you can whisper into or some strings you could pull to help make that happen I wouldn't be upset lol.
  3. They told me that AT&T works the best though they get roaming signal with Verizon when the Airave goes out here and there. Again they are generally happy with Sprint as no provider is perfect in South lake. I think if Sprint started to deploy some band 26 they could really steal the show from the other guys.
  4. My sister and her husband have felt the pain in South lake for years now. They are generally happy with Sprint as they can make calls around town but in their home (up Kingsbury Grade Rd) they have to use an Airave for calls or 3G though they use their Wi-Fi at home for data. I had a glimmer of hope for them a long time ago when LTE seemed to arrive but they never got it up and running. No back haul I guess.
  5. Maybe try downloading the google hangouts dialer from the playstore and make calls using that for now? You might have to dial +1 then the phone number for it to work.
  6. Just got my Note 4 a couple days ago. Went to Trader Joe's in elk grove this morning and got 20+mbps LTE. Checked on signal check pro and wasn't on B41 or 26. Note 2 never got lte in that parking lot. Is note 4 getting wrong results on the app or just better at picking up B25 LTE?
  7. Over my home DSL line 12mbps/1.5mbps it sounded crystal clear though I only used it for a few minutes to try it out. Also called via downloading the dialer app on Google hangouts. Made a longer call on that over LTE and it was perfectly clear. I'd say both methods actually sounded superior to a call over the Sprint network.
  8. I think I just got a little ripped off. I bought a $30 Craigslist phone (Samsung Admire for Metro PCS). Seemed to work perfect at the time but power button is hit or miss to turn screen off (mostly miss). Everything on the phone works besides this. Was gonna use it for the $200 off promotion. Anyone know if I'm going to have to use a different phone?
  9. No, you don't have any control of that unless you take special steps to go deep into settings and over-ride what's there already. Otherwise your phone will connect to LTE 800 when it needs to (assuming you have a Spark phone).

    LG G3

He did the first American Hands-On video I've seen so far and he'll do follow up videos:
  11. milan03 not disagreeing with any of that. Not saying Hesse should be the man either. I just stated facts about Legere. Not the best track record.
  12. Yeah Legere, the guy who drove Global Crossing into bankruptcy after being their CEO for 10 years and is doing the pump and dump with T-Mobile. I don't think it's worth his sit and spin.
  13. Well I guess it's all about the new DAC they use in this phone. I don't know about the particular DAC they use but in general a good digital to analog converter makes a big different in an audio device. If you want an easy explanation on DAC this is a good video:
  14. Who's thinking of buying this phone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0HCWcvH1OA
  15. Hum, I wonder if they'll really replace Dan Hesse like this article says: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/sprint-going-try-buy-t-214918690.html
  16. Sprint Sound Sessions Announcement: http://youtu.be/8Y9ckvZ1id8
  17. All good info. Thanks guys. I'm not far from the Sacramento border but I live in Elk Grove. It seems like we're progressing nicely in Elk Grove so I don't care much about how slow Sacramento is moving though it would be nice to see some work being done there. It's fun watching things happen in the Sponsor Forums
  18. I don't want to beat a dead horse but the last day of Summer is September 21st. That's 5 months away. Do you think California will be done with NV 1.0 by then?
  19. Look at the 2nd post by twospirits: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1704-frequently-asked-questions/
  20. Video says no voice and data at the same time on Spark devices but that you can do that with older Sprint LTE phones: Consumer Reports Video Is this completely accurate or are they missing some points? Seems like they don't have the whole story but I'm not sure.
  21. You should be a sponsor. Totally worth it! If you can't afford Premier Sponsorship at least be a regular Sponsor for $10-$15 donation.
  22. At first I thought that was 200kbps but then I realized you were getting 2mbps which is pretty awesome for 3G. You should change your settings to show results in mbps.
