Enabling Okay Google from any screen will really make your battery take a hit as well. I

More Nexus 6 leaks... I really hope that this device really isn't 5.9in.

I think I caught some 8T8R equipment in testing last night, but I was also kicked off before I could confirm. The GCI was different and Signalcheck was reporting regular B25 but according to other users it can be inaccurate with 8T8Rs. I was off of the site before I could check the debug screen.
I actually noticed what appeared to be an 8t8r site on one of my beta testers logs taken from the same day in Charlotte! Looks like you guys are about to get some 8t8r love.

When you are connected to a voice tower, the yellow arrow points to direction of the coordinated site. It kind of acts like a compass. When using the LTE discovery app what is the yellow arrow telling me direction to or from tower or something else.

We'll just call it an odd device errorOf course my iPhone is now making a liar out of me... I can't seem to reproduce that result for my life. Furthermore, now my engineering screen will not showing anything at all for the download bandwidth field.

Not quite. Google currently says Sprint customers using GV "shouldn't turn on text messaging and voicemails in Hangouts. This will cause problems with your text messages." So while you want to integrate Sprint and GV, you don't want to merge GV and Hangouts. Does that make sense?
Hmmm I wonder if this is why my phone was sending the same text to people at least thirty times...
-
I don't know if you guys have heard about this or not, but I'm not sure how well something like this would work in real world scenarios. Even if they knew what channels every voice network operated on in every market, this would never be able to distinguish Hangout and iMessages sent over data (unless they start packet-sniffing, in which case I believe intercepting wireless communication is still illegal).
Also, how are they going to distinguish between you getting a text and sending one? Is that even possible?http://www.dailydot.com/technology/texting-while-driving-gun/

Ughh the Google Play Services bug is back. Anyone remember the fix? Already cleared the cache.
50 minutes of screen time :/

Any of you guys know if the Moto G properly reports GCI from LTE Discovery or SignalCheck? Looking at picking up a backup developers device and just want to be sure it would work for me. I know the Moto X has had issues with this previously.

Anyone with Android L try the new Hangouts APK yet? Curious if it affects MMS functionality.

+1 to you. I've always had to use the boot.IMG to get into diagnostic mode but I suppose it isn't unquestionable that the need for that image may have changedReport: I just successfully write PRL without that boot.img

This has been buried inside this thread but everyone who has tried my instructions were able to flash a custom PRL. Give it one more try...So my Nexus 5 loves to park itself on a useless 1x1900 connection in my basement office when I know there is a so much better 1x800 signal out there. Can't send texts and calls will break up unless I get kicked to 1x800 (and it doesn't happen easily). Is there a way around this problem without flashing a custom PRL? (Can't figure out how to do it on this device, tried like 7 times with no luck)

So fast for such a weak signal.Meanwhile, in St. Augustine: Despite the downtown site being fully upgraded, I still experienced terrible service. I got glimmers of B25 and B26, but only in a few places through all of downtown. When I did get a signal, speeds weren't terrible (3-15mbps). EVDO was super slow, though - Pings in the 150+ms, 0.10mbps.
Eating lunch at A1A Aleworks, which has a second floor balcony, I was able to pick up a B41 signal, although it wasn't very strong.
Obviously St. Augustine still needs site optimization. B26 will do wonders here once this happens!

Without a doubt.Band 41 on Sprint is way more prevalent than Verizon band 4

Yeah Orlando is swimming in B41. Last time I was there I drove all the way across town and didn't drop B41 lol

Looking optimized?Band 26 is on so many towers going down 441 I can't take pics of everything.

Took four reps before I was able to get on Cary's Framily. Just doing the live chat ended up working out for me in the end.

Eh, either way can't argue with a free replacement. Pretty cool service from GoogleFirst line of this page from what I can tell.. But will they send out a new one or a refurbished one is the next question to ask.

QPST works well for me.Anyone has success write PRL to N5? DFS show write success but phone menu still shows the old PRL

I just mashed mine repeatedly for about 15 minutes and it fixed it. Posted about this problem on Saturday.Any way to trouble shoot this problem? Maybe ripping it out?
-
Looks like repeatedly mashing the power button has helped for the moment.
-
Mashed the button a lot and it seems to have helped, but I want to avoid pressing it as much as possible until I can get a temporary replacement. Anyone know of any good apps that will let me tap the screen to turn on the phone? Tried some basic one off of the Play Store but didn't have any luck.
-
Yeah can't get it to even fully boot now. Definitely a power button issue.
-
Sounds like a broken power button
Bummer...

Can't be the real phone. The photo is far too clear. Judging from past experiences only the blurred photos are legit (sacarsm).
