Connection Lag When Making Phone Calls
gifters replied to 4ginnc's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Hmm how do you do this... -
Nice thanks, working on getting the wife hooked up!

Yeah signal is much worse and now I'm on EV-DO instead of eHRPD and now I'm only on 1x800 and not 1XRRT, signals strengths are worse my my 800 signal is what my 1900 signal was, I wonder if they played with the antennas or if was the storm? although these changes seemed to occur hours after the storm ended... Edit Still on 800 but signal strength is 10 dBm better the must be working on the Tower... right? Waiting for LTE to pop up now... that would make my day...

Our closest tower went down this morning... seems that the on sight back up power must have ran out? We just unexpectedly got our power back half an hour ago.... I'm roaming on verizon where I have never roamed before

Looks like they're making the push to get everything at least 3G accepted, 3 Towers that I have been watching for just popped up 3G accepted with the update on the 10th (Robert must have forgotten to update the last post it still shows the 8th), they fill out most the areas I use... hopefully they'll make an 800mhz push here to really fill out the voice coverage and then work on back hauling where they need to for 4G

According to local sprint sales reps, your phones already have the chips... they just haven't turned them on....
-
Well I'll download it tonight over Google servers with DAM, I wonder why the update hasn't been pushed out to everyone at this point in time
-
I read wifi issues and boot boot issues as I recall now probably root related but still no update so I wonder
-
I've decided to wait for the OTA download given some of the issues... at this point I have still not received the OTA update... I'm wondering if Sprint suspended pushing out the update.
-
Where did you find that at?
-
I hope this update improves battery life somewhat, probably not as much as getting 4G in my area would though

My wife's download was 33mb's... just thought I'd share

As a follow up question, what is the party line on wirelessnwife.com which uses Sprints 4G LTE network for internet service? The have "unlimited" internet plans for $60 a month

I never brought up tethering, I have no plans to root my phone or do whatever is required to engage in illicit tethering, I do not appreciate the reference to that since I never brought it up. Also checking the T of S there is nothing that states you must have a broad band connection at home. Additionally according to Sprints T of S waiting on hold with CS can be against their terms as well.

At this point in time I am just wiring my house, I currently don't have LTE being broadcast in my area, so either I'll buy a used signal booster that covers my sprint 3G on the cheap and wait for a Sprint LTE compatible booster or just wait for a Sprint Booster

That would be great if a home broadband provider without a data cap was available... unfortunately that was the case. The store rep sold sprint unlimited data as a solution for my problem...

I know that comment wasn't directly directed at me, but are you saying that if I'm at home I can't utilize my phones internet watch youtube or steam any media? BTW I think I have an N connector hooked up to the antenna.

Just got a couple ceiling antennas off Fleabay for $40. I need to figure out what type of connector is hooked up to my antenna and get an adapter to take it to RG6... Also need to run my RG6 cable out side unless I can figure out how to hook up to the old Satelight Coax that is already run outside. So this is connected to my antenna And this is the old line with an F connector that goes into my house I'm guessing there's not much that I can do since the Antenna cable is probably 50 ohms and the Old Satellite cable is probably 75 ohms I haven't seen whats preventing me from running new line into the house. My step stool too short and I haven't gotten out the ladder yet.

On the phone interface, the keypad tab, at the bottom left is the voice mail, that is what I'm referring too...

Ok I just got my s4 and I decided to download google voice. Which.is great because I didn't realize that sprint was automatically going to charge me for "premium" voicemail. My question is in the "phone app" it still has the sprint voicemail icon and program as default. Is thwre anyway to change this?

Wait... whats the release date on this phone?
