I've been with DirecTV as long as I have been with Sprint, since December 1996.

This might make being a Dish customer an actual 'enjoyable' experience.

 

I mainly don't like Dish simply because I don't like Charlie Ergen. But I don't like Direct pricing either, and both of the providers have SUCKY equipment. The hopper on Dish is a joke +1. And Hopper + Sling? Don't even think about it unless you got 30meg internet...it won't work worth a sh7t. I paid $50 for that sling adapter and it's collecting dust on top of the TV cabinet, not even plugged in. First time I tried to watch a football game away from home after I bought it, I realized what a gimmicky waste of money it was, and it's been unused since.

Maybe Softbank can bring something to Dish customers that adds value to being a Sprint customer as well... a synergy of sorts...Guess it'll be years before anything actually hits the ground, but it's good to know what the future might hold. There's no hope in Charter moving from 10 minutes up the road to our neighborhood with cable/internet access, so like many, I'll be on satellite and AT&T's petty DSL for X amount of time (I keep hoping the DSLAM will fail and they'll replace with an IPDSLAM instead of the ATM that they are using now -- which would mean u-Verse speed internet versus blah-speed internet)

I guess you haven't worked with a Genie receiver because I can tell you this thing is sweet. 1/3rd the size of my hr23 it replaced with a 1tb hdd unit to record shows, 2 Ethernet ports plus can hook directly up to a fios modem.

No they favor mostly the young anarchist crowd. T-Mobile still has to face the FTC for cramming.

I have learned there are 2 flavors of 1xRTT thanks to the BlackBerry symbols. 1x going to get you phone and SMS only. 1X is going to get you data. Than there is 3g-3G and than of course LTE. That is just BlackBerry's way, but it works. As for T-Mobile edge, well lets just say even around Dulles airport your crawling on T-Mobile, from personal use and observation.

I got the price info from Sprint's News Room email that I got and yes it is going to Boost and Virgin too.

Yeah the easy pay is 0 down, 10 dollars a month. I did say MSRP which is outright price.

I guess a $239.00 msrp for a phone with a midrange quad core and a 5 inch display shouldn't break the bank for anyone.
