    LG G3

Yeah, I had several internal debates on whether I should jump back over to Android from iOS. Now that I've set the phone up and got most of the iOS-to-Android kinks worked out, I'm glad I did it. I still have lots of Apple devices and my main machine will always be a Mac - I finally got everything worked out so that I can comfortably live in both ecosystems. It's a lot easier now than it use to be. The only thing I miss is FaceTime and iMessage. Google Hangouts works well, but getting all of my iOS buddies to use it is a real pain in the ass. Lol. 2. Aren't you in the Jax market? I could be wrong, but I thought I saw that you were. In Jax, I've never seen B41 slower than 15mbps with a good signal, even in the middle of downtown. Not to say that it's not possible for B41 to be slower. Some Clearwire sites probably didn't have the proper backhaul in the first place - I just haven't experienced those kind of speeds. 3. Totally agree. It was tough to stick it out with Sprint for the last 3 years but now that I'm in the other side in a mature NV market, I'm so thankful I stayed. It wasn't like a light switch, it took time. Every day the service got a little better as towers were slowly upgraded to NV1.0 and B25 LTE slowly started to become more wide-spread. Now that B26 is live on most sites, B41 is providing great speeds and coverage (where available) and in the off-chance I do find myself on EVDO it's actually totally usable (1-2.5mbps, 70-100ms pings). HD Voice is seamless in this market and Sprint is about to start on 8t8r B41 deployment on Sprint sites. Sprint is on a roll and is already slaying the "other three" in just about every metric in the Jax market. This is what people in non-mature markets can expect to experience soon, if you aren't already. All of this and B26 optimization hasn't even occurred yet. Once the network is totally up and running on all spectrum bands and technologies, the new Sprint network will be widely touted as the best overall network with tons of room (read: Spectrum) to grow. 4. I finally got the update, but there us trouble in paradise, unfortunately. I can't seem to get the map to work properly. It won't show the tower on the map, even when on 3G. Is this supposed to work like the last version did? I did get the logger to work, even if I don't fully understand all of the information (remember, I came from iPhone so I never had access to this much info). Also, some B41 connections are still showing up as B25 connections on my G3. There is no rhyme or rhythm to this. All of the B41 connections in my market (Jax) are Clearwire that I'm aware of. Some sites will show B41 and some will show B25, despite being a confirmed B41 connection via the engineering screen. Thanks for you time and effort on this app; I upgraded to the Pro version. 5. Yup. It's perfect. Btw: I'm still stuck on v3.6.1. It will not let me update. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Not sure. Lol. I'm running the stock LG G3 rom. I came back from iOS so I'm a little lost. Haha Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Yeah. I use it everyday. It works perfectly. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  9. I have the same issue with my wife's Acura and my Lexus. Bluetooth doesn't continue the HD throughput from the phone, so the quality is lost. I'm not sure there is a way around that. So a HD voice call sounds the same as a non-HD voice call, once channeled through a BT device. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

While the screen is big, then phone itself isn't really that big. Its about as big as the HTC One M8, yet with a much larger screen. It's because LG was smart and took the screen edge-to-edge with hardly any bezel. I can use the phone with one hand with relative ease, but I have large bassist-hands. My wife can use it easily too, and she has tiny hands, FWIW. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

It works perfectly. They obviously fixed the GPS issues coming from the G2. Not a single problem so far. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  12. That's gotta hurt just a little. ???? Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah. My wife and I enjoy HD voice everyday. She has an iPhone 5c and mine is the G3. The calls sound phenomenal on both ends (but arguably better on the G3 end). Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

On another note, the camera on this G3 is amazing. I was able to grab some amazing low-light shots and 4K video at the Dave Matthews Show in Jax 2 nights ago. My iPhone 5S buddies were in shock. Amazing quality for such a small sensor. Lots of noise reduction, but still impressive with the amount if detail retained. What really impressed me was the 4K video quality. Wow. Interested to hear what issues you were having. My G3 has been flawless minus the battery drain issue, which seems to be getting slightly better with time. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Interesting. How has the battery held up today, since you recharged it? Did you, by chance, go into the battery menu and look at what killed it (I'm not sure if that resets after a restart from a dead battery)? Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Battery is doing much better today! I downloaded and setup Lux, this could be the reason for the improvement. This is with nearly 2 hours of SOT. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

Just keep in mind, TMO might be winning the spectrum war in your town today, but it won't in the near future. Once B41 is lit up in your area, you'll see a huge difference in speeds, especially when they start adding additional B41 carriers AND you'll have better coverage from B26. Ok, back on-topic. Off topic, but honestly sounds like TMO is a better fit for you, currently. Not every carrier is the best everywhere. Some areas are better served by certain carriers. I know in Jax Metro, Sprint is slaying it and TMO is fast WHEN you can get a signal. In regards to edge-of-cell coverage, on B41, I can pull down 20+mbps at -114dBm. That's impressive in my book. I love the screen honestly, I just don't like what the screen does to the battery. That said, having a second battery is a must and will eliminate all of my grips (minus the weird stutter and hesitation I'm seeing while scrolling in certain apps) Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

How are you guys determining your G3's birth date? Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  24. Yes, one of the G3's main features is WiFi calling and it works wonderfully for both inbound and outbound calls. Very easy to setup and maintain. If I were you, I would do a little more digging before I'd dump Sprint. There are plenty of resources to help you, but it doesn't look like you've taken advantage of them. Perhaps even consider becoming a S4GRU Sponsor so you can see how far along your market is as well as other useful info. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  25. Maybe I missed it, but what phone are you using? If you had a phone with Wi-Fi calling you wouldn't need to rely on an airave. Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
