I was in the Bremerton/Silverdale area on Sunday to visit my brother and my dad and I (he has an iphone5) picked up a REALLY weak 4g signal that was barely usable and I tried to map it but I'm not sure if it picked it up. He lives not far off of HWY 303

Sprint LTE Coverage Maps via Sensorly
Beejis replied to S4GRU's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Will LTE be wherever 3g already is essentially? Like if I currently get 3g inside my office can I expect LTE as well? -
I'll map it tomorrow for a bit. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

I heard that custom AOSP roms have trouble with 4g handoffs or something to that effect. Can anyone here relate any problems that they have noticed with AOSP roms like CM 10.1 or the like and LTE? I love AOKP but since LTE is popping up in my area like herpes I don't want to miss out on it because it won't keep a connection very well.

Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 I know right. Don't completely understand the strategy behind that. I didn't go that far. I was basically a the the southwest portion of the sensorly area that's lit up. Stopped at a gas station to get those speeds.

I see that in the update thread that 3g only towers are being completed with very little LTE being done. Are they just trying to get the 3g out of the way first for some towers then coming back later to hook up the LTE? I thought they would complete both at the same time?

I'm excited but I think we'll be getting the same treatment that we did last year with the GS3, not that it was necessarily a bad thing but it was still a letdown nonetheless. I was hoping we in the US would get the octa but it looks like we may get the same setup as the HTC One, which isn’t bad or anything by any means. I just don’t know if it is worth getting the S4 when I can get basically the same thing in the Note 2 (besides a feature here and there). I’ll wait and see once they do unveil it but it is looking like we may get the shaft again here in the US.

Wishful thinking on my part but I wonder if because of this issue you are talking about, Sprint will deploy their upgrades faster! I can dream right?!

Seattle 3G from 3g to 1x from last.
Beejis replied to maddieosman's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I agree. Up in the Everett and Marysville area 3g data is at a crawl. -
I agree, but at the same time I'm sure they are just trying to correct the mistake that was Wimax.

Sprint LTE VS Verizon LTE speed test
Beejis replied to kckid's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
Thanks for the comparison. Verizons LTE network obviously would have more people saturating the network and Sprints LTE is still in its infancy so it will be interesting to see the same comparison by the end of next year! -
Sprints coverage map is down right now, so maybe they will release LTE in the other areas earlier than expected!
