  1. Just switched to a note 4 from my iPhone 6 since work had an old demo laying around. I have always used Signalcheck on my phones since it first came out and would like to continue to do so. My main issue with the note is that if I have the notification bar icons turned on it shows on my lock screen which then makes my clock tiny and takes up one of the available notification spots. Is there anyway to keep the icons to keep track of what network I'm on but not have the notification on the lock screen? Thanks for any help in advance.
  2. I have not yet but I will. I figured I'd ask here first since you guys have the phone and its more specific to this than a general quesiton on the app. I dont know if its because I have the old demo from the store I work at but battery life seems pretty terrible on this. I unplugged at 7:15 and am now at 54% with an hour or so of streaming music, some texts and a 20 min phone call. I'm used to IOS which is normally thought of to be bad but this is beating my IP6 out. Sorry for the rant-ish sounding post. Just wonder what I'm missing. I had android a year or so ago so I'm still familiar with it but nothing was ever quite this bad.
  3. But now will I see my normal notifications that I want to see like messages and emails? I would think turning that all the way off would shut them all off.
  4. Well damn. That's kind of a pain in the ass. Any way to get it to show more than 2 notifications at the same time on the lock screen? It does the first two with the box under it. Being on ios for awhile has made me terrible with Android.
  5. Someone asked a coupe pages back but never got an answer. Having the same issue. I have signalcheck in the status bar and am perfectly fine with it being there. I don't need it to be on the lock screen. How the hell do I get it off of there?!
  6. Disclaimer. I was in buffalo grove when that happened. Not actual Chicago proper. YMMV down in the actual city. But I think overall you should be pretty pleased.
  7. After going down to the Chicago market for a meeting with Sprint today I'm excited for Milwaukee to add some speed allover the market including all the surrounding little cities. A coworker of mine got a speed test of 130 mbps down today on his G3 while my IP6 managed "only" 35 mbps down. I'm pretty content with the performance of my home tower which gives me faster/better performance than my wifi, I'd just like to see these kinds of speeds more widespread. I have plans to order a new Moto X and see how that helps my network experience since the iPhone seems to like to sit on 3g until I toggle airplane mode somewhat regularly.
  8. Normal wear and tear is accepted for trade ins. You don't have to bring a pristine out of the box phone. You have to use your phone. Just as long as it's not majorly damaged as described above it should be acceptable for trade in.
  9. Same here. I want the new iPhone but the new Moto is really calling my name. Guess we'll see what happens when they announce it.
  10. Thought I read it cost more to add it. Sweet deal.Might just have to throw this on my credit card to pick one up.
  11. So the higher the numbers the better? Can't remember. It's been awhile since I've worried about RF performance. Also. Has anyone seen pricing as far as what it will cost to add an sd card slot? I really want to get back to android after being on iOS but leaving 64gb for 16gb just won't work for me. I'd rather have the expandable memory than built in if it's more cost effective to do so.
  12. Even on public beta 3 I noticed I don't seem to get LTE like I used to on 8.3? 8.2? I don't remember. Either way it's irritating. I just want my phone to work and have a decent connection the majority of the time.
  13. So 8.4.1 is still on the same carrier as 8.4? Which was garbage for LTE right?
  14. I had something weird happen with messaging yesterday too. When I went to text someone back on an android phone it showed the audio message over the box where text would normally show up as I type it. Cleared the thread. Didn't help. Restarted my phone and it's been fine. Just really weird.
  15. GAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Downloaded the profile but then didn't install it. Deleted it and then restarted my phone to make sure it was clear. 2-3 hours later my phone tells me the beta is downloaded. Tried to install it since apparently it's meant to be and my phone lost service and wouldn't update. Had to restore my phone and then update it allover again to make it work. Stupid iPhone.....
  16. I lied. iOS 9 doesn't work with my UP band so I have to stay on 8. [emoji107]
  17. Dammit. Downloading now. I guess this is what iTunes backups are for.
  18. You're not helping! The new iOS and the better LTE are really drawing me towards it. Reliability is keeping me back.
  19. Part of me wants to update to it so bad but I just can't. I tried beta 2 on my new phone and whenever I tried to change a ring tone it would force quit. Restore didn't work so I went back to 8.4. #firstworldproblems
  20. Says it cannot find this path. I'm the worst with command prompt windows. lol.
  21. When I try to run iTunes with the carrier settings enabled it tells me "program" is not recognized as an internal command. What am I doing wrong?
  22. Good news. The Apple store replaced my phone since it appeared that the bend wasn't intentional or done by dropping it. (Why would I purposefully bend my phone Apple?) Brand new iPhone without using an AppleCare replacement. Bad news. The store wasn't able to help me with my iCloud at all. On the phone with senior tech support now. I somehow get texts to verify my iCloud sign in but not for the manage my Apple ID website. Doesn't even ask me for my recovery key which I don't have anyways. Ugh. Edit. Advanced tech support tried to tell me there's nothing they could do. Explained what was going on again and it's supposedly something on Apple's end. They're escalating it up higher and I should hear back in a day or so with good news... Hopefully.
  23. Only way to prove your account is with your password, verification code or your recovery key. I don't have my recovery key and my verification doesn't work. I have an appt to have them look at my screen today and see if they'll give me a new phone. I'll just ask em about it when I'm up there. Appointment is in a little over an hour so fingers crossed I have good news.
  24. Pretty sure I lost my Apple ID today. Downgraded to 8.4 to try jailbreak and see what hacks they had out nowadays and when I erased my phone to start over clean my phone stopped receiving the verification texts I'm supposed to get. After me being an idiot and trying to create my own verification texts I now locked myself our of my account. Woot! The failed sign in page says it'll be unlocked in 8 hours but from what I've read online it never unlocks and unless you have access to a trusted device and your password you're screwed. Since my phone no longer appears to be a trusted device I'm pretty much SOL. If you have 2 step authorization on your phone make sure you know your recovery key! If you don't go reset it now!
  25. Ahyep. It's not a battery or it would be more consistent and you would have more issues. It's gotta be software and the only way to fix that is a backup and restore. The worst part for me is putting all my music back on my phone. Other than that everything goes smoothly. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that for you though.
