  1. Had my best network day the other day, I can't seem to keep data signal while the phone I'd stationary at my desk. I flipped the radio to LTE only and streamed an entire soccer game (no lag or stuttering afaik) on NBC live extra app.

My connection was about 112-115 the whole time.

The app wouldn't even load on 3g.

  2. Anyone using the delta page notification chrome extension for the factory images page. It has alerted me like 4-5 times, but I haven't seen any changes. The extension seems to indicate the only changes are within the header...

  3. For b26 you just need to enable it by using your msl. You don't need a different radio. B41 requires the .15 radio to connect as far as I know.

Manually toggling doesn't work for me at least the towers I use.

  4. Are you not getting b26 on your n5? I am on it all day.

Nope. I'm starting to entertain the idea of unlocking and flashing new radios.

Edit: By new I mean the older ones.

AFAIK. I've never been on it on the new set radios. Idk on the earlier radios.

  5. I've been disappointed before about the delay for band 26/LTE. I will be full blown mad if I can't stream the world cup in 37 days with a usable connection on my N5

My bb tour 9630 streamed it near perfectly on 3g in 2010.

  6. I'm gonna reiterate what I said earlier (even though I don't have any basis for this guess) ...I'm guessing they had to go back to square one with some part of the LTE config. Assuming that was all that delayed this release, this wait is pretty large given the resources at hand. I will say it prob has to get certified by each carrier though.

  7. Is it impossible to send/receive MMS(group messages) over WiFi on the newest version of hangouts?

I'm wondering if one of the APN s will fix this.

I'd also think we could send/receive MMS (picture) on WiFi too...

  8. Anytime Google updates an app it usually takes a week to hit my phone. I haven't got the Calendar update our Hangouts yet.

I got it on the 6th day after the release. Really surprised it took that long and that it hasn't finished yet.

  9. sorry... voice dictation.

the update has been pushed back, possibly due to LTE issues.

Does that mean that we are back to square one on the LTE configuration/settings?

If so, that could be a significant amount of time before its resolved...

  10. When we were manually enable the bands on the Nexus 5 did anyone confirm Sprin Spark speeds? DId not work for me anywhere in Chicago. Will this update have other software updates that will allow the update to work?

People can rig with varying amount of success by toggling bands manually, flashing certain radios/custom profiles.

The update will allow spark to work 100% normally (at least we expect to, prob to many variables to work properly in every single scenario)

My main issue is the timing. Fault aside, we were told from day 1 'early 2014'. We are in the middle of the second quarter.

I'd guess its still going to become widely available in the next two weeks.

  11. Pulling an update involves flipping a switch. Now patching a bad update can take any length of time.

I've always though it would be a good idea to roll the update out first to people who have enabled developer settings.

Very easy to implement but prob would never happen .

  12. Officially past googles self quoted markers of 24-48 hours and 1%.

Were actually closer to 72 hours if Monday morning was actually correct. What was the next threshold? 10% ? That way more than enough XDA/nerdy N5 owners to share the ota URL.

  13. Still no 16:9 option it seems. I am disappointed about that, but otherwise welcome it being a standalone app that can be updated often.

I'd like to see the shutter button actually have defined edges instead of being a big empty mass
