  1. Unrelated: in rural AM radio areas, plugging my N5 into the car charger can give gigantic feedback/fuzz onto my car speakers.

The exact same phenomena happens when I open the camera app on my phone. It blows my mind why this happens.

    Clear as day and repeatable.

  2. Try flashing .15, and see if you have any improvement? I think it'll help, and since Tyler has no csfb issues you should get better service and such!

which OS is this from? I need to find a good write up on these radios so I can do my homework on what the pros and cons of each one are. The main metros I'm in are Houston/Austin/Tyler.

  3. First time connecting to b26 (I've always been 100% stock)..

Smooth handoffs driving around, never dropped off to 3g.

In building b26 is no better than b25, which is a big disappointment for me.

I still go from 1x to 3g to b25 to b26 in about a 1 foot area. I never know what I'm going to be on. I'm disappointed because I hoped b26 would let me steam the WC.

  4. You actually getting b26? After the update in Tyler b26 is what .15 b25 was. It could just one of those things that varies from area to area. But here .13 sucked. .15 or .17 gave me most consistent.

yup b26 at my apt, which is weird because i'm right under that old grande tower almost. same dbm too..

the real test will be tomorrow at work.

  5. Keep in mind (whenever it does happen) Google/android is headquartered on the west coast.

Much of PR isn't, so there can and likely will be 'delays' before Google pushes the launch button.

  6. And, as frustrating as it is, wouldn't most of us prefer a polished and optimized product versus a laggy, unreliable product that would only lead to yet another wait for potential bug fixes? Clearly there is a reason that it's been delayed and Google engineers are no doubt working tirelessly to get it up to par. Otherwise, it'd already be out.

This implies that 4.4.2 is polished. Many of my gripes are issues with the last update. How the heck is the delete button/backspace in the keyboard still there.

  7. There is no telling your sure, but this week could very well be possible. Typically updates come on Tuesdays from Google, not sure if that also applies for hardware firmware updates as well..

MS is on Tuesday. Google app updates come throughout the week, but Wednesdays are the most common days. Sometimes you'll see a half dozen updates on a Wednesday.
