It seems like a lot if not most of the 3G only sites that have been sitting are being converted to LTE around Syracuse and the surrounding area. It's still kind of like swiss cheese coverage which I have a feeling won't be fixed without more sites but it's good to see progress on that along with b26 being fired up. I have to admit I was contemplating looking at another provider after seeing no progress for so long in this area but I'm not so sure I want to look elsewhere now. I just hope with the proposed merger progress isn't completely halted.

That's nice to know, I've noticed that when Sprint "updates" their map it never seems to reflect any real changes at least here in upstate NY. Also speaking about coverage I really wish Sprint would use their old Nextel sits along route 12/12D between Utica and Lowville, the ONLY tower that you come across is in Boonville, NY (to me its like whats the point?) Also as of last week I noticed that Boonville is still 3G only, I wish out of all the sites they would give 800 to that tower since its the only one serving that area! Sprint also give me another mind boggling coverage when you go from the NY/PA border to Williamsport, a pretty decently used road. In BOTH cases Sprint could of used their old Nextel sites to fill in the gaps! Just some thoughts on what I wish Sprint would do/ change.

  2. I am VERY much against the merger, for one thing most of the people I know like options (more the better I think) Plus I always wonder who will gobble up US Cellular eventually. I don't know much about US Cellular since I don't live in any of their areas. Secondly the only way I would (if I was the FCC) to let T-mobile/Sprint merge would be for Sprint to distribute Spectrum to Verizon and AT&T for FAIRNESS purposes. If the merger goes through that means T-mobile would have the most spectrum on top of the 600MHZ they just bought. I don't know I just think Sprint can do it on their own, in my opinion what really has held Sprint up is the 800 IBEZ issue. Again just my point of view, not that it matters really.

  3. It's nice to see they finally brought it back BUT $80+ for me (single line) and for my needs is expensive. I actually like the tier approach (along with the option for unlimited IF I wanted to later). It will be interesting to see if AT&T will finally offer a unlimited plan with out the u-verse or Driectv. I personally never liked AT&T. I just wish Sprint would upgade all their towers to 4G LTE, here in NY state there are a LOT of 3G only towers.

  4. It'd help with the sparse tower layout inherited from iwo from their affiliate days and bring me back to the mother ship... And for the fact 1x has been lit up for over a year it'd bring people back to the top 100 market for certain!

A "sparse" tower lay out? You got to remember back when it was just voice and text you didn't really need towers close together, so long as you had a signal you could make calls and texts will go though, everything NOW is Internet and well it has more affect on Internet than it would voice and text. You got to remember cell phone companies add cell sites all the time.

  5. My bad, I did think that explanation was good for T-Mobile/MetroPCS though. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

lol, do you agree with me that if Sprint got Cricket, it would not of helped all that much? The metroPCS yes would of helped but Cricket was so small it was barely a carrier in my opinion.

  6. They did help out T-Mobile a lot though. It would have stymied T-Mobile in a lot of ways. What actually happened was sort of an LTE shotgun wedding with DT and Metro forming TMUS. Then the old MetroPCS network got shotgunned and TMUS built out new Nokia and Ericsson gear over it. The rest is history.

I am referring to just Cricket, sorry, lol

  7. Do side by side comparisons of routers software traffic meters to ATT's traffic meter. As well as I though Xbox one ( if you have it) detailed your monthly usage if that's your inly device using thr 2nd line. Also swapping the routers to the different DSL line would be a quick way to tell if a router is the issue or if its a mistake on their end. One test I did on ATT wireless was my Mom got overages when here phone wasnt even on , so turning Line 1 Modem off for a day or two and see if it reports data on those days. Easy test there

    usually a router issue
