  1. lol, I think most of use have been guilty of this. I was about 3 weeks ago or so, when I found out Sprint was changing the way they were billing. But after I got to looking at their plans, my jaw dropped. Just wasn't sensible for someone with 3 lines, all requiring data.

I'm on the same boat, with 3 lines. At Sprint I pay $180 for 3 lines, all of which are Android SmartPhones. That includes all taxes, fees, and even insurance on one of the lines. (I do get an employer discount, but most do these days.) Nobody can beat Sprints price, not to mention, I'd pry incur occasional data overages with any other carrier, making them cost even more.. I think the 2GB cap the other carriers are using is very weak. Sprints a home run as far as I'm concerned, and if Network Vision plays out the way its looking, its gonna be a grand slam.

  2. I don't trust anything AT&T does. Always an ulterior motive it seems.

I just read something I thought was pretty funny and thought it would fit in well here...

A comment from a SprintFeed user:

I don't have WiMax and I got my Photon 4G Cash $$$$. I'm waiting of Sprint to get Samsung Note. I would bounce to AT&T, but they nickle-&-dime you to death!!! $79.99 for 1400 minutes, $20.00 for unlimited text, $30.00 for data, $20.00 7:00PM nights, $20.00 cause Im African-American, $20.00 cause I have forgien car, $29.95 cause my girl is fat, $19.95 cause I love Cleveland Browns!!! (You get my point!)

  3. I think those things would look out of place in Louisiana :-) I for one think they are ugly...nothing wrong with the look of a cell tower to me. If you bitch about the look of a cell tower and don't want it in your town then you have no right to complain about coverage on your diamond encrusted iPhone.

Easy stinger... I wasn't "bitching" about the towers at all. Nor do I own a "diamond encrusted iPhone" (not a single iDevice here, for that matter). I was simply showing how they are doing some of the towers in PHX. So, no need to make assumptions and get hostile.

PS. They make the "hidden towers" in the form of various other types of trees as well. Perhaps this style would better fit your geographical placement. ;)

  4. Tough choice! If you're happy with your current 4G coverage, the Epic 4G Touch is nice... The Epic Touch is sweet, no doubt, But like the others, I would wait so you can take advantage of LTE, especially if your market is in the first round of Network Vision/LTE deployment. It wont be long.. I think two months will be well worth the wait.

  5. Good questions. My article does not explain your points. I wouldn't mind some answers myself.

If this money is to fund Clear, 2 Billion just seems like way to much. I thought Clear already had the funding they wanted/needed for their initial LTE plans. Ok.. so maybe their budget is/was a bit off... so give em a few hundred million bucks more... but, 2 Billion? Just seems like a lot. Is there a possibility that there is more to this story then we're hearing? (I'm inclined to believe so.)

  6. I do think that the screen sizes are getting too big. I think 4.3 is perfect, and 4.5 is a close second. 4.5x" is likely the biggest I will go. (but that's just me.) However, I do think that the simultaneous wold wide release of the phone is good. It sucked having to wait months for the SGSII.

  7. I think that if they took a small step to educate consumers about the benefits of wifi, more people would use it.

Frankly, the average consumer doesn't want to deal with it. They want something simple.

    1) At the point of sale, it should be explained in person or over the phone the benefits of wifi.

    2) With every phone there should be a seperate printed sheet of paper that explains the benefits of setting up wifi on your phone.

    3) Send text reminders to customers who do not setup their home wifi.

    4) Other incentives should also be provided (monitary, prizes, discounts, blah blah blah)

I agree with your point completely, and it sounds good. And actually, Sprint has been trying to do this, I think. I have seen numerous links while viewing my account balance/useage that promote WiFi.. Also, Sprint just made their Sprint TV app available over WiFi (previously it was not). Although no monetary benefits for the consumer (yet), at least they are suggesting/promoting it.
