I'm actually amazed they allowed their prepaid divisions have unlimited data from the get-go. And I expected them to cancel unlimited a long time ago for them as well. To me, it's not a canary in the mineshaft issue. It's good network management, IMHO.

I couldn't agree more. IMO, Boost and Virgin Mobile should be throttled (flame suit on). Sprint customers are the "bread and butter" and and should not have to suffer from slower data speeds because of the abusers on Boost and VM. I welcome the fact that Sprint started throttling VM.

Well then, I may have to change my opinion... I'm all for better battery life!

I will definitely take you up on the offer. LAM and SAF nearby. KLAM is a challenge. On top of a mesa at 7,000 feet ASL. My office is under the end of the 27 runway!

I've only had 2MB+ 3G speed tests twice. And like Chris Matthews, I had a thrill running up my leg both times!

I got my EVO about 2 or 3 weeks after launch day... Sprint let me upgrade about 2 months early.. I had yearly upgrades at the time.. so i upgraded from the Pre after about 10 months. Back then (in Phoenix) I would get 2.2MB all day, every day on 3G, I was in heaven... It was epic. Seems too many EVO's and iPhone's are on the network now and have slowed it down. Really looking forward to Network Vision bringing this back... Not to mention LTE! (I sure hope PHX is up top on that A-L list ya got!)

I agree. I'm eligible for an upgrade in August of this year. I think that'll be a nice time to choose a phone. Should be some good options either released, or being released in the near future.

ya know, I've been a Sprint customer for quite sometime, and I cannot recall ever experiencing a network outage. Data can be slow at times, but I have to give credit where credit is due.. Sprints network is very reliable.

Im not so much interested in quad core.. If we can get dual core Exynos power out of every dual core, thats more than enough, IMO. The Epic 4G Touch is lightning fast! What I am more interested in in my next Sprint phone is whether or not it will support LTE on both 1900mhz and upcoming 800mhz LTE frequencies.

Off topic again, but this place might be centrally located between you two (S4GRU and Duffman); Hard Eight bbq in Stephenville, Tx.. when I lived in Tx, it was my favorite.. used to fly from Addison to Stephenville every chance I got for this place. Ever been? I miss it dearly!

If that Epic 4G Touch LTE that was rumored here today is true, I would bet it will launch with ICS... especially considering all this is going on with the Epic 4G Touch WiMax.

To me, it's almost unconscionable with how much profit Apple makes on the iPhone and the iPad that they don't make them here in the U.S. The amount of high paying jobs that we would have exporting Apple products all over the world from America. It's really sad.

 

And I just think of all those politicians who complain about all the jobs going out of the country. They are extremely critical of companies that do their manufacturing overseas, even when the companies are unprofitable and losing money and have no choice. But in the case of Apple, they are the most profitable company in the World. They are making money hand over fist! And they ship out all these jobs that could be done here. And those same politicians love Apple. It's very sad.
