Here is some good info on the EVO 4G LTE's "HD Voice." Based on what I got out of this, the 3x to 4x capacity that Network Vision brings with its 1x-Advanced technology will come in very handy, as HD Voice uses a higher bitrate to increase the voice frequency response.
Good info on HD Voice here:

I know this doesnt answer your "HD Voice" question, but this is the fine print Re "HD Voice" from the Sprint website: ."HD Voice requires a call between two HD Voice capable handsets on an HD Voice capable Sprint network. Sprint expects to deploy HD Voice capable networks in the future as part of its Network Vision upgrades."
Whatever it is, Im looking forward to it, the two reviews I've seen of it (Phandroid and Engadget) say it works quite well.
Edit: So, my question is: how were they demoing this if it requires Network Vision to operate? COW? Was NV live at the event? Humm?

Always loved that movie.

+1 oh and HD voice too
I cant wait to see the Q4 htc release already lol.
Agree about the HD Voice!
What is the "Q4 htc release?"

Shame, shame. Since you sinners are lusting and coveting this device (bonus points for telling which is one of the 7 deadly sins) here's a comparison for the devices and your souls you would all willingly give up for this.
iPhone has a 4.5 in screen? Also, I think the battery on the new EVO is 2000mAh
Edit: wow.. they added a bigger battery on the EVO 4G LTE and still managed to keep it thinner then the E4GT! Now that's impressive.

From an investors/financial standpoint... I'll bet its gonna be a rocky road for Sprint in the first 2 quarters of 2012. I don't think that financials will start improving much till Q3 or Q4, maybe even Q1 13.. after they get some rebound from Network Vision upgrades.

Pretty stellar numbers by any means.. and to think, thats Pre-Network Vision.

Anxious to hear more about the "HD Voice" capabilities of the EVO 4G LTE. The first review/video I've found claims it works pretty well.

This is very sexy, htc and sprint did one hell of a job on this. Design wise, this has so much more life than the One X, it may be too much for some but its just right for me. But what impresses me the most is the fact that they managed to through in a kickstand, micro sd support, larger battery while still keeping the same thinness as the One X.
+1
(since I've "reached my quota of positive votes for the day")

Looks like the rumors were accurate except for the battery. 2000 is still decent though
true.. an upgrade is still an upgrade.

EVO 4GLTE... I even like the simple name!

HTC EVO 4G LTE has arrived:

To quell some of the rumors, here are the facts:
- aluminum/plastic body
- kickstand
- non-removable 2000 mAh battery
- S-LCD 720p screen
- 32 GB microSD card support
- dedicated camera shutter release
- $199 on-contract price point
AJ
I like it! The added features are definitely a plus. Even if one is not a fan of the "looks" (which I think are totally fine), You must give credit where credit is due:
Sprint seems to have listened to their customers and provided a dedicated camera button, bigger battery, sd card slot, and kickstand. Props to Sprint for that!
This will more then likely be my next device.

If you are, this might be a quick easy way to help reduce it:

Here are a few more pics. At least its got a kickstand.
Edit: too bad all these pics suck. Guess we'll get a better view tomorrow. I'll wait to pass judgment. Is that a dedicated camera button? Wondering what other additions it will have... bigger battery? removable battery? sdcard slot?
-
Yes it would. Plus it would be a good addition to Virgin's smartphone lineup. And I can also see this as a way for Sprint to satisfy contract requirements for purchase amounts with HTC.
I agree! Sprint could keep selling the same phone even after they EOL it, while Virgin Mobile customers get a nice dual core, qHD, etc. phone to add to their line up. Win-Win situation. I just wonder if VM customers will have to pay an extra 10 bucks a month to get access to Clear's network. I guess at VM's prices, an extra 10 bucks is still a pretty good deal if you get unlimited 4G (assuming you're in a WiMax area).

That was an April Fool's thing with Google.
Yea, I know.

I'm Looking for ward to Google Drive!! But, I'm mostly looking forward to Gmail Tap! What an epic idea for a keyboard.. cant believe I didn't think think of this! They even got LL Cool J backing it... at 1:42.. "LL" says, "You can tap it in the morning, you can tap it at night, you can tap it in the bathroom." lmfao.

Rumor has it that the EVO 3D will soon migrate from Sprint over to Sprint's pre-paid division, Virgin Mobile. This will be a pretty nice offering for a prepaid carrier, especially since its getting Android 4.0/ICS "soon." Additionally, If it brings unlimited 4G (WiMax) data along with it.. It would be a steal for those with solid 4G WiMax coverage. I think some people are going to have a great option available if this holds true.

So what happens when you are in a multistory building? What is the cubic footage of the Airrave?
Well, that is going to depend on the down tilt.

Hopefully this hasn't been posted... Here is a video that kind of goes over the camera abilities of the One X (EVO 3?)... It look pretty impressive, but one thing I thought was nice was the screen.. although its hard to tell over a video... but the screen quality produced by that SLCD2 HD screen looks really good!

Sprint has said that all LTE phones, except possibly low end models, will have NFC, so don't worry about that aspect.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Agreed, Scott. And, based on the upcoming release of the LG Optimus Elite, I believe Sprint has now made that evident. The Optimus Elite is an entry level Android phone... equipped with NFC.
-
I heard there would be a LTE version of the GS2. It would be a decent mid range phone. The development costs are paid and parts have gone down in price. Wouldn't be that dumb IMO
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I agree, Scott.. It would be similar to what ATT did with the SGSII SkyRocket ... I could see Sprint doing the same thing. And I dont think that would be a letdown at all.. its a great device!!
-
I'm going to do that tonight if the ROM I want to use will download.
Good Luck, Josh!! A decent ROM can make all the difference in the world... make your phone seem like a whole new device. Hopefully you can find something that works well... I know it exists.
-
I'm not up in arms over this. I'm up in arms ready to throw my phone off a cliff again because it's acting like crap. Oh well. The problem with liking HTC Sense as much as I do. lol
Have you thought about wiping your device and flashing a new ROM? I think that would help you out with your problems.
