  1. Both MTS and SDG&E in San Diego? aargh.... looks like it's time for me to start moonlighting at the public utilities commission and transit authority
  2. I'm sure you will be showered goldenly with e-penis delight. EDIT: Sorry Robert (I just saw your off-topic warning) Unfortunately, I believe his supposition falls under the unnecessary whining and rant clause here at S4GRU. I wish people wouldn't make carte blanche statements of ignorance as there is a wealth on information on this site. (I'm hoping that this guy is just joking much like that Le-A name http://static.fjcdn.com/pictures/Le-a.+cause+the+dash+don+t+be+silent_b17309_4160459.jpg , perhaps his mother?) Fully back on topic, Has anyone come across anymore Masayoshi announcements on the FCC/DoJ front??
  3. IE only? proof positive the S3 is now old news.
  4. every time I see those commercials I pause and rewind to see the fine print. usually their coverage maps are 6mos-year old and the fine print is an entirely different 6mos-year timeframe. Robert explained it best above. As far as density is concerned that also has been addressed. They are looking at femto and pico cells to help "densify" coverage in the future which they are not including in their overall macrocell figures. I'm certainly of the same mind that Son and Co will not be discussing any additional cell sites since they will probably be used for leverage in the T-Mo buyout. One thing Son is, is not stupid. He has many cards up his sleeve.
  5. I have a moderate position in S although not where I wanted to be as my investment instructions were not followed post SB merger and Post CLWR acquisition. They converted my shares to cash which sat there for months doing nothing before I realized that they were not converted to new shares as I had instructed. A little whatever disconnect caused this issue, I would have had better returns pre to post had the conversion gone appropriately instead of a later repurchase at a higher price point
  6. Can I get an irregular form demonym for a Sprint subscriber?
  7. device specific as far as i know. i had to re-enable automatic/pull from network date/time settings which i had not altered previously. my n5 went an hour ahead 5 days before DST
  8. Negative Ghost rider, computer or not, it's a no go
  9. I have some marketing/advertising ideas: Who else wants to see a karate kid-esque commercial with Oto-san as Mr. Miyagi and the dynamic duo daniel/son(masayoshi) go head to head with the "can you here me now guy" and the "magenta biker chick" on the mat in perhaps what appears to be the control deck of the death star? They can end the it with some happy go lucky slogan that integrates network vision/spark/etc in a similar fashion to KK moral/takeaway of there being more to the martial art than fighting.... sounds cheesy i know, but it is 1000 percent better than the current campaigns. but some level of nuanced subtlety, humor, nostalgia etc...
  10. Also, this phone does not seem to be impacted as badly (or at all) in areas with eCSFB issues. My N5 will crap out and need an airplane mode toggle to reconnect to LTE whereas the G Flex will not. It appears that when N5 users (like my other other self?) get the Spark update, then you won't be left out in the cold when it comes to having a reliable signal (in affected markets)
  11. Important FYI for Users of Gmails 2-step authentication If you have 2-step authentication enabled in gmail you will probably lose your mind trying to add your account. Apparently LG's software in the G FLex is having some compatibility issues with this feature, but there is a workaround until this is fixed in a future update. If you absolutely must have your 2 step authentication (like me) then go into the 2 step authentication settings and create an app specific password and use that as your password to setup your accounts.
  12. No Phones were harmed in the making of this post. Make sure that you use a flat head screwdriver!! On a side note: the G Flex seems to perform better in my ECSFB area but maybe because it is already spark enabled?
  13. Who stands to gain here? That's right, priests who dress their altar boys like G.S. to sell knock-off cookies for $$ http://t.co/rOwsT941wM

  14. I wouldn't mind a little more (or some/any) penetration in my house. {insert witty pun here}
  15. could be worse. you could live so far in the IBEZ that you are only 7 miles from the border Would someone please buyout NIH and fix the southside problems? You there Masayoshi?
  16. What other explanation is needed? 1. SVDO/SVLTE are going away. 2. There are still older handsets that support SVDO/SVLTE if needed (and the complainers seem to have the handsets anyway) 3. VoLTE is coming in and every carrier will be scrambling to get it up and running and Sprint will be at the forefront. 4. 5-10 different VOIP App options were given in this thread multiple times over (IF you ABSOLUTELY NEED to use this feature on a Triband device)
  17. Unless you know of a plan that allows you to add a tablet to it (vs its own separate plan) then yes.
