It will be an exercise in growing pains. I'm just hoping that we see some of that network synergy sooner rather than later with both pre merger entities acting as native coverage for one another during the transition period. As of now I have never wandered onto a T-Mobile tower with any of my devices. Lets hope they can do a broad spectrum 5g release. I'm holding out for the Note 10 5g and hoping they are able to integrate both chipsets for mm wave and repurposed existing spectrums.

It seems to be a nice gimmick but how useful will it be for non-business users? It is nice to be able to have the immediate response from mobile, normally I would access such chats via laptop or desktop though, so i guess it has its use cases

Congrats. It really is worth it. They didn't even charge me a connection fee for last mile and since I was already on their 300MBps plan before the upgrade my pricing did not change

does this carry over on to the iOS 12.1.2 software?

I know this is an old post @bucdenny but cox has been offering Gigabit (1,000 Mbps) speeds for over 5 years here. I have had it out here in the "boonies" of ECV/SMR long before ATT or any other piggybacked to light up those dark fiber lines here. (honestly thought Google was going to beat them to it) Just did a quicked wireless vs wired) on same gigabit wifi network comparison. *Note, wireless test device is a note 9. obviously the wired device (computer) had a lower latency than the wireless device but I was still and always have been impressed. of course ive been running a mesh network (Velop with 6 nodes for a 3000sq ft home) so i would expect nothing less. having gigabit fiber along with wireless routers that can maximize those signals through dedicated back channels is amazing. When something better comes around I will jump on it! I have seen Sprint (wireless non wifi) LTE speeds in excess of 100Mbps at times which is more than enough for the most dedicated individuals mobile needs.

If that's the case and someone can confirm, that would be very helpful to those of us that try to help fill out map coverage. If not sensorly, I am sure there is or can be another to pick up the slack (albeit from scratch)

sounds like its time to carry a fourth smartphone device at all times with me.... presently have the note 2, N5 and Flex with me at all times along with a vz hotspot and sims for tmob and att. anything good coming out in the forseeable future? it seems like crickets have taken over in the new device dept

Seeing as voice is purportedly being integrated with hangouts this year, i hope we still can keep the abilities of voice insomuch as other lines ringing, voicemail transcriptions and the ability to listen to the message but with all of the features of hangouts including emoji. i currently use both gvoice and hangouts.

It wasn't hard to figure out if you have data or not. Looking at the UBI site, there are several data options, none of which is unlimited. http://www.ubitelecom.com/plan/pindex.php Also, the Note 2 seems to fall under their BYOSD (bring your own sprint device) option and is not officially supported as stated previously. The best thing to do would be to call and speak with an UBI rep and explain your issue and see if they can do anything on their end.

I believe you mean Spark enabled triband devices will show the Spark Logo. The nexus 5 does not and my g flex is sometimes hit or miss

I believe you have to install the app itself and allow permissions to edit your contacts. Google disallowed this feature awhile back because of numerous user complaints and data security breaches. I know some people want it, but I am glad it was removed. One of the main concerns (besides the obscene amount of access/permissions that the app and facebook connectivity want) is that it took and uploaded all contact data from your phone (not just facebook contacts) and then subsequently overwrote them or deleted them if say a friend changed what is viewable in facebook. This was an egregious violation of privacy and trust. For example, If I removed a friend, family member, co-worker etc from facebook or they closed their account, changed what was viewable on FB, suspended it temporarily, were hacked, etc etc it completely removed that contact and all data (even it were never in facebook before and had only existed on my phone) I actually lost my grandmothers number this way. I'm sure there are many workarounds if you honestly want that "functionality," but a safer bet would be to use a contact exporter/importer. I won't even allow facebook (the app) or a direct in-android account link to any of my devices anymore because of prior concerns. EDIT: You can still check what contacts facebook has from your devices by going to https://www.facebook.com/invite_history.php all links and ways to find it have been hidden deep in options
