I noticed this pixel 2 has a different sim card than the pixel 1. Is the reception better with the pixel 2 or is there some better improvement for the 2 vs the 1 with this different sim card?

i m getting my pixel 2 xl later tomorrow...well it has the snap dragon 835 so depending on the carrier support it can do 4 carrier aggregation

I also received mine. Turned in my Pixel one as a trade in. Had that buzzing noise, everything else was good to go. I decided to return the Pixel 2 since I had 14 days to do so. It worked great, but I want to see Google sort out the issue first before rebuying. I liked the textured feel.

When i listed to the phone wiht NFC on, I could hear a ringing or buzzing from behind the earpiece. Also had the clicking issue. That was it though everything else was fine.

i am getting the pixel 2 xl. is anyone with either phone having a problem with screen burn in?

Downdetector.com shows relatively few complaints but definitely some issues. Quite small compared to AT&T's reported national issues a few days ago with VoLTE. Sprint's issues with LTE a few months ago fell in between. I also recall T-Mobile having issues a while back.

I have Xfinity mobile and that runs off them. I haven't had any issues.

Some of you may remember the times I've reported here about my leaving T-Mobile in the past, which I officially did about three or four times. A few of those were to try Sprint, and the others were two specific times T-Mobile messed up on my preorders for smartphones, in which once I went to Verizon, and the other to AT&T.

Then several months ago, I mentioned about how I might leave T-Mobile because of the Digits issue, but I didn't end up leaving T-Mobile after all since executive response offered me a great deal for whenever I decided to upgrade my device away from the Microsoft Lumia 950xl I've been using, which ver these past months has seen a huge drop in support from many companies who previously supported the platform with various apps. Its been quite frustrating, but the problem really is with Microsoft for failing to promote its platform to compete with Android and iOS.

BTW, the two smartphone preorders T-Mobile messed up on were the Samsung S7 and the Note 7, both I tried to preorder and went through a bunch of problems dealing with T-Mobile trying to get the devices while plenty other customers were already receiving theirs. However, I'm happy to report T-Mobile not only gave an incredible discount to me for my iPhone X 256gb (they're covering the full down payment), but I'm receiving the device on Friday this week, tomorrow, on time, finally! Not only that, but they're discounting my mother's iPhone SE and Apple Watch Series 3 42mm Stainless Steel model the same discount as on my iPhone X. So, between that and the service being improved lately, I'm keeping T-Mobile.

You know the iPhone X doesn't support band 71

  5. Same but is Charlie Ergen ready to relinquish control?
That is a good question which I cannot answer. But we shall see was Sprint if they really invest in their Network or not. And that's also another question I cannot answer. The only thing I believe is action. If Sprint shows through action that they're serious about kicking the network upgrades into high gear then I will believe Sprint and maybe want to go back to them in the future.

  6. it's hard to take their promises seriously but I can only blame myself because I have high expectations and expect things to happen overnight.
I knew they weren't going to commit to their promises before because I knew the endgame was to merge with Tmobile so I questioned myself "Why is Sprint promising to have the best network, when they are going to merge with Tmobile soon?" so I just assumed their network promises included merging with Tmobile.
Now since the merging plans are dead, Masa Son and Sprint have no choice but to kick things into high gear.  I haven't listened to the webcast yet but based on your guys' feedback it was probably one of the best calls Marcelo did.
If Sprint can partner with Charter and possibly Dish Network (allow Dish to deploy its spectrum on its towers in exchange for allowing Sprint customers to access it) then I will be so happy lol.
Do you guys think Tmobile and Dish will pursue a deal?

I definitely have a feeling dish and T-Mobile will have a deal laid down on the table. There Spectrum Holdings line up a lot more with T-Mobile than Sprint. So I would speculate a deal with Dish is more favorable for T-Mobile.

True. I guess the good thing here is they already have b26/b25 ready to go for those rural areas is just getting it on those towers.

Sprint has their work cut out for them. I feel like this is the last straw as far as people taking Sprint for their word. I do believe that Sprint can build a higher quality network than T-mobile.

I don't really believe Sprint anymore when it comes to their Network in their promises for upgrades. I don't really see them being believed by many people. Spring has made some progress in my area. But not enough to for me to justify switching back to them. So we will see what happens.

No on both counts. Guidance for this year is $3.5 to $4 billion. Through the first 2 quarters they've spent $1.8 billion so they're on track there.

Years in this context refers to fiscal years. For Sprint the fiscal year ends on 3/31, meaning next year would be a little under 5 months away.

thats a long time from now...but i m looking forward to continued improvements..if they improve enough i will switch back to sprint...
