  1. I have looked and looked but cannot find in the FCC filings any clear indication of SVDO capability. Take that for what you will. AJ
  2. Not really. Port A is the primary antenna, Port B the secondary antenna. So, discount Port B antenna gains unless Port B actually comes into play. Otherwise, roughly -1 dBi antenna gains are fairly common among smartphones these days. Plus, the LTE ERP/EIRP figures that I sent out earlier are rather healthy. AJ
  3. Oh, but you are married...if you catch my drift in this iPhone thread. AJ
  4. You are required to tell your wife that she looks great. AJ
  5. Most of the additional iPhone 5 data that I have gleaned from the FCC OET authorization filings I have sent out via my Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/WiWavelength AJ
  6. Folks, I have the FCC OET authorization docs for the iPhone 5. I am still going over them. But here are the early returns. It will support CDMA1X 800 (band class 10) but will not support LTE 800 (band 26). More to come... AJ
  7. Geez, not this again. You are misinformed or undereducated. Sprint does not assess a "4G" charge. It is a "premium data" charge for unlimited smartphone data usage. Whether the data usage is EV-DO or WiMAX is irrelevant. AJ
  8. Your Tx Pwr is an error, as 512 dBm is ~1.58 × 10^48 W. Even visible sunlight is not remotely close to that power level. AJ
  9. That does not answer my question. An Airave is just a pico cell with IP backhaul. An EV-DO connection through the Airave does not hit the Internet directly; it still hits the Internet through a proxy much deeper in the network. You have an LTE capable handset. Is it tunneling to an LTE core for an eHRPD connection? AJ
  10. I practically guarantee that EV-DO Rev A:6 is just EV-DO Rev A, while EV-DO Rev A:8 is eHRPD. Additionally, I have seen other Samsung and Motorola handsets display LTE:14. The numbers seem to indicate sort of a network protocol revision that rolls up at least CDMA1X, EV-DO, W-CDMA, and LTE, maybe GSM, too. AJ
  11. CDMA1X is 3G, as is EV-DO. So, the 3G indicator is accurate, but not all flavors of 3G are equal. The Sprint PCS Vision and Power Vision indicators used to make the distinction far more clear. AJ
  12. A "straight pole" because VZW likes giving its subs the shaft... AJ
  13. I thought that you edited your own PRLs. Now, you make it sound as if you go out into the woods and "find" them. If so, I would like to know where these PRL hunting grounds are. AJ
  14. I hope that it had the all important turbo "bump" that I know served a crucial purpose on my turbocharged first car. AJ
  15. To all... I write my posts to be insightful, funny, and/or provocative. If they grant you new insight, make you laugh, provoke thought, or all of the above, then they have served their purpose. But I do not write my posts to be outright offensive. If you think one of my posts offensive, state your case. I will listen and take your comments into consideration. But, equivocally, you may have to consider that your offense is over your "sacred cow." AJ
  16. I was responding -- largely in jest, mind you -- to two previous posts on the lack of adaptability of religious organizations. If you cannot deal with that, then this might not be the place for you, especially after only four posts in three months. Good grief, indeed. AJ
  17. But I am not the one deflecting, Josh. You are. So, are you a Skynet android agent or not? Cut off your forearm. Really, it is a simple test. We are waiting. AJ
  18. Religious organizations out of step with ever evolving reality??? No. Never. Blasphemy. AJ
  19. ...or you just think that you were a kid. But Skynet implanted those childhood memories because you are actually an android. I think that we need to cut around your forearm to find out. If you start to speak German, that is further proof. AJ
  20. Lest any of our younger members think me totally daft with my previous musical ditty, let me reference the original... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yspJGbbvtm0 AJ
  21. You mean like this... I think that we have identified an agent of Skynet. Josh, what were you doing on August 29, 1997? AJ
  22. I cannot help but see the Nexus 7 in my hands giving me the evil eye. Why is that? AJ
