Well it finally happened - G710P20d

Android Pie has finally arrived on the Sprint LG G7.  And VoLTE along with it.

Nice.  My phone is updating now.

So when will we get Android 10? 😅

Well this should work out well...

I’m so disappointed in Marcelo as a CEO. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but when I look back on his Sprint tenure and the things he failed to prioritize/accomplish, it just feels like he phoned it in...

Maybe my blame is misplaced. Perhaps It goes all the way up to Masa, and Marcelo wasn’t about to submarine his future at SoftBank to cross him.

Marcelo was just a corporate puppet who lied about leading anything at Sprint.  Sprint fell from #3 to #4 under his tenure, but he still got kicked up the stairs with $100 million+ in compensation to continue this game with Masa playing with billions of dollars that the world's rich people don't know what to do with.

The CEO/Founder of failed WeWork walking away with $1 billion+ is even more disgusting comedy.

  3. I am bullish on a DISH 5G company.  7 years is plenty of time to build out while using new T-Mobile's network and inheriting redundant assets and Sprint's prepaid customer base.  DISH will either get bought out for a premium by a big media/tech company or receive a big cash infusion investment for the buildout.  And they don't have to worry about the 3G/4G sunsetting troubles the other carriers are dealing with.

I am now monitoring DISH stock price for a good time to start buying up shares.

DOJ  Staff recommended blocking of the merger BEFORE concessions were announced Monday per Washington Post.

This is why I can't wait for this to be over.   So much hair-trigger rumors of doom and failure or success.

Rumor of DOJ suing to block T Mobile Sprint merger was premature, done before concessions were given to FCC earlier this week.

Seems like share price manipulation with Sprint's stock price seesawing between each headline spin.

Glad I sold a good deal of my stock when it jumped near $8, but now wish that I maybe sold a little bit more.

It was not the Nextel merger that killed it... it was very poor management making bad decisions at the time.

Correct.  Sprint has committed strategic blunder after blunder the past 15+ years while their executives continued to walk away with tens of millions of dollars each. (Marcelo Claure got $100mil+)

I think the investor reports would be more accurate since they can't lie to investors unless they want to end up like AT&T with a lawsuit.

    You're referring to this: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2019/04/lawsuit-atts-directv-now-is-a-flop-and-att-lied-to-investors-about-it/

That's not beyond the realm of possibility for Sprint... especially given how any lawsuit would occur subsequent to the alleged "lying".

Sprint's FCC Filing is supported by empirical and highly confidential data on its adds/losses, churn, etc. throughout the report. I believe it shows a serious situation. Even more so, Sprint says in the Filing that its investor statements noting certain accomplishments shouldn't detract from the seriousness of its current predicament.

See Pages 36-42 of the FCC Filing, which includes this:

"The recent improvements in some financial metrics simply cannot, and do not, overcome these fundamental challenges:"

On balance, I'm more willing to believe the information in the FCC Filing which specifically references and dismisses the investor statements than in the investor statements alone. If the redacted "highly confidential" information in the Filing was made available to investors, I believe Sprint stock would be substantially impacted... as that information reflects the ground truth of what's happening with Sprint.

Multiple securities class action lawsuits have now been filed against Sprint Corporation for lying about total postpaid net additions.

  7. Analyst:  If US wants to be leader in 5G, it should approve Sprint, T-Mobile merger

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/12/in-race-for-5g-us-should-approve-sprint-t-mobile-merger-analyst.html

    • A Sprint, T-Mobile merger is the path to the best 5G network we’re likely to see in the U.S.
    • Sprint is sitting on a “phenomenal band of spectrum” that can run the technology
    • The merger will in turn drive AT&T and Verizon to invest

Masa actually bought a house which neighbors Marcelo’s: https://www.kansascity.com/news/business/article42616254.html

Did he actually ever go inside?

Very nice to be rich.  Own mansions that nobody lives in.

I'm still averaging at least 60mbps can't really complain.

Nice.  Sprint LTE is great when consistently connected in one spot, but I still experience the "swiss cheese" network of dropping to 3G or really low speed, low response 4G if I step inside various restaurants/bars in a city or go out into the still dense suburbs not too far from urban centers.
