Is wait time after upgrade still 20 months?
-
Where can I find used/unlocked phones for Sprint, specifically the Motorola Photon Q?
I already searched eBay, Amazon, and craigslist.

Dish raises $2.3 billion in debt for spectrum purchases

That actually seems like a good mutual deal for Clearwire and Crest *relative* to the other offers on the table.
-
So recommend to wait until later this year to use my Sprint device upgrade?
-
Which/where are the 5,000 sites promised by Clearwire to be LTE-live by Dec 2013?

I'm thinking of going to a Sprint Store tomorrow to play around with the Torque. I'm hoping the move to removable SIM's is beginning in earnest.
Agree. I do not like having to buy/own one phone (Sprint) for domestic use and then another (GSM) for international.

lol ok .. my answer is I don't have time to become a sponsor. I'm in the Army and all my time is training

Why do you need faster that 6-8 Mbps on a phone?
I would be satisfied with consistent and widely available 3-4 Mbps.

Weird that Augusta, GA / Fort Gordon is slow in receiving love.

I see it has now been updated.

Any high-end slider LTE phones coming to Sprint in the near future? I am looking for:
- 4" screen or larger
- physical keyboard
- 4G LTE (800MHz 3G + 2.5GHz 4G?)
- 8MP camera or better
Currently, it seems the Motorola Photon Q 4G is the only phone available that fits my criteria.

My little dot in Creedmoor is showing on sensorly finally. At the closer and farther away zoom levels only right now, and missing in the middle layers. I'm sure that'll get updated soon enough.
Was in a rush leaving for home and forgot to start mapping when I left the office so it's just the one dot right now. Headed out to RTP tomorrow and I'll map some areas if I pick up 4G.
Thanks. I check the map everyday.

Nice. I finally see the map shows more LTE in the Fayetteville, NC area.
-
Excellent. I have family and friends in the area, and I will only visit them if there is 4G LTE.
-
Nice to hear the LTE y'all are getting the past few days. I am increasingly leaning towards moving to Fayetteville later next month to start a new job.

After the 4G Wimax disappointment, I decided to deploy two years to the Middle East in 2011 for military/government while waiting for Sprint to get their 3G + 4G LTE crap together. Now, I may return this April to start a new job in the DC area. Hopefully, my patience will be rewarded.

I can hear people complaining now with each press release. Why Hammond? Why not New York? But it has more people! Queue head shake...
Definitely need more expansion on the East Coast.

Added the Blackberry Q10 to the pending device list. I wonder if they are waiting to release it until later this year so they can include LTE on 800 and 2600.
Will it be summer or fall before we see the first phones from Sprint that include LTE on 800 and 2600?

I just sent in a donation to become a S4GRU Premier Sponsor. Very exciting.

Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

I bought a used Photon Q on eBay ($145) so that I can save my upgrade subsidy for a later tri-band LTE phone this fall or winter. Hopefully, I made the right decision.
