Sprint has repurposed iDEN for 800 MHz or band 26. They can't implement it up here yet because of IBEZ. Once the US and Canada come to an agreement, Sprint can start implementing band 26 up here. Hope that answers your question.

That is a very interesting thought. I have never thought of it this way. I think this would be better than any merger. I don't think they would be able to bid together but they would be able to bid because they are 2 separate companies. But maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know about that fee. I have a bad feeling about it. I guess it depends if they get money and spectrum, or just one of those. Only time will tell.
