  1. I have read articles says that to using Cloud RAN you will need huge amount of cell backhaul. I doubt Sprint can get really good backhaul in lots of places for C-RAN to work.

"Macquarie Capital analysts Kevin Smithen and Will Clayton wrote in a research note that Sprint will launch a Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) solution as part of its new "Next Generation Network" strategy, which Sprint disclosed earlier this month. We continue to believe that Sprint will incorporate C-RAN technology over small cells as part of its network architecture at substantial savings per node/site over earlier Network Vision deployments," they wrote.

  2. The Magenta Trolls on Fierce Wireless cause many people and devices to puke.  Your Uverse gateway cannot handle the trolling and gets sick when reading the comments there.  This same issue occurs at least daily in many people and their devices who do not wear Magenta or have Magenta colored skin.  It is to be expected and should be put in the AT&T FAQ.  I can handle it because the buzzard in my profile picture has Magenta colored skin.

So that is why I haven't been feeling well lately, makes perfect sense.

  3. I believe its the one in the middle. I'm seriously considering. Can you describe the maps/info you are granted access to? I haven't found much info on it on here.

I know for a fact the tower on 196th has AT&T on it, because I got access to American Tower's site database and looked at photos of equipment at the base, and of course AT&T had their branded signs

For the location of the equipment, I believe it is on the top...

To see the differences between the different types of memberships, check this out: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-information-about-s4gru-sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-sponsor/

As for types of maps, you would have access to all of the sprint sites they have information on and where it is in the NV phase. If you would like information on clearwire sites (band 26/41) you will need to become a premier sponsor (totally worth it!)

If you're unsure on how far you would like to go, start off with a small donation and you can be a sponsor for 6 months. If you decide you wish to become a premier sponsor, you can then donate some more. Hope that helps.

  4. I love this tower. I believe Blue and Red are on there too. Which floor/layer is Sprint? I thought Sprint was on the one behind Target.

The one behind Target is also a Sprint tower. As for the tower at 196th, I forget which rack Sprint is set up on. (On a side note it is a clearwire site.)

Also, if you're interested in finding out about more towers around here, you may want to consider donating and becoming a sponsor. You would get access to some great information including maps and site information.  :tu:

  5. As Deval stated, LinkedIn is a good place. Social Media in general now is a great way to look for jobs and network with people. That is the biggest thing is networking. Also, make as many friends in school as you can, both students and professors. I got into the industry by a recommendation from one of my dad's friends. Good luck

  6. Not that I don't agree with everyone and thanking all the staff plus other individuals for all their hard work and effort given into this site, and all of their knowledge they have so gracefully shared, but can we start getting this thread back onto topic?

In less than a week Sprint will post their 1Q 2015 earning, what are some hopes/predictions? Do you think they may disucss the Hispanic demographic regarding the addition of Roger Solé, or maybe see new plans, updates on their network? I would like to see some postpaid additions, even if it isn't a lot. I would also like to here more news about their network and what they are planning on for the future.
