  1. can someone confirm if the visual voicemail app that is found stock, or was found stock on so many past sprint devices, is on the N5?  Way back, before i had VVM, I claimed i would never want it and then i got a Samsung Epic and then a Moto Photon Q and now I dont think i could accept a phone without it.  Having all messages laid out is great.  i dont really want to use GV or some other third party app as VVM always seemed very well integrated.  Maybe being a multi carrier device it didnt make it on?

  2. supposedly there is one of these floating here off the coast of maine.  been in the local news quite a bit.  even the contractors who were hired to build it have no idea for who they are doing the project for. lol

  3. they always throw this term "gateway" around.  I really do wonder what sort of set up they have or is gateway just another way for them to say sprint?

they have quite a bit of subscribers and the ones i see in the forums consume some serious traffic monthly.

  4. That's all sketchy. Millenicom used the WiMAX network? Or the LTE network?

How the hell did this slip through Sprint? Why did they ever get to sell unlimited off the Sprint network? Who was overseeing this? Does that person still work for Sprint, and if so, why is he not fired?

This may not make you and others that happy, but they aparently found an agreement to keep selling service:

    Dear xxxxx,

Our intent was to put you first and keep you informed if an interruption was forthcoming and we are relieved it has reached a satisfactory resolution.

  5. Roaming is in effect I have a Sprint termination letter for one of my lines... Mind you I havent roamed at all used LTE ONLY mode a few times and there were times when the bars was a slashed circle yet I was still getting data signal check wasnt working and next time it happens ill check and post the engineering screen

What regional carrier do you think you roamed on?

I was just playing with the *#*#INFO#*#* screen and i selected "LTE Only" and a strange message came up that never came up before (last time I played with this screen was several months ago).  The error was "Selected network (US cellular) unavailable".  This is on a Photon Q.  I am not in a US cellular LTE area right now so I cant say if it would connect or not...nor do I know for sure if my phone could connect to US cellulars LTE bands to begin with.  Still interesting this error is given now when it never used to.

  6. As a follow up question, what is the party line on wirelessnwife.com which uses Sprints 4G LTE network for internet service? The have "unlimited" internet plans for $60 a month

I would imagine they probably pay per GB or something similar. Maybe bandwidth at 95% and hope their users dont go hog wild.  There biggest consumers are more than likely home users.

  7. I know that's a really good deal. I actually just emailed the ad to see if he would ship it to florida. Pay through paypal

i dont think i would even respond to emails like that if i had a craigs list posting locally.  craigs list pushes dealing locally so much now.  good luck.

They got to use the LTE network as it went live...dunno about Wimax.  They may have made their own plans as well.  Give out unlimited and hope users didnt use that much but if they did, Millenicom was on the hook for the overages.  Then again, maybe they did have unlimited accounts.

Lots of people used this company and racked up a lot of usage.

  9. that's cool.  nice to see smaller operators playing together.  would current phones work once they flip the roaming switch or does phone hardware need something else?  For example, could by photon Q connect to USCC LTE?

How is LTE roaming handled?  Not PRL obviously...just some sort of authentication?

  10. You used to be able to find them on Ebay.  I offered several years ago..maybe 5 years ago at this point.  Sometimes it took a better part of the evening / night to find a rep who knew what to do and get it done.  I'll never forget, not once but two separate occasions the rep conference called the receiving party of the plan in to set up the TOL and they had to go through the account set up process with them so they simply muted me but I could still hear everything.  I heard all their details including their SSN.  One rep even assured the other person I was on hold while they did these steps.  Despite me saying No i wasnt i am right here. *sigh*

If you know you will be doing a TOL and dont have an account yet, you are best calling on your own first to simply set up an account this will establish you then you can simply provide your account number during the process.
