  1. I am truly embarassed for Sprint. I have been a Nextel/Sprint customer since 2001, and now, more than ever, I am actually thinking its time to just get out. I have never even considered it, but this company is going no where fast. I was legitimately excited thinking this was going to finally be the thing that reinvigorates the company. Nope. I am actually insulted that as a 14 year customer their thanks is a piece of shit tablet and service for it. They could give it to me for free forever and I would still be pissed off. End rant. I have 6 lines that are either going to get a major restructuring price wise from Sprint, or I will find another carrier. I dont know what carrier it will be, but if I cant get comparable rate plans for 50% less than I pay today, its over.
  2. I know when I have been around Meriden it has been disappointing. It's not like it's a podunk town either. They must be having serious site access issues and can't get needed work done. Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  3. Good they turned it around, but you can't unring the bell. This is making Sprint look very, very bad. There is no way Marcelo didn't know about this. He had to of approved it. If not, something is seriously wrong, and we better get a list of names for those fired. Front page on reddit, for all the wrong reasons. Again, the bell is rung. http://reddit.com/r/technology/comments/3bn58d/sprint_officially_americas_dumbest_carrier_adds_a/ Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
  4. Appears you are using different devices at a minimum based on your spark icon and the LTE letters. So, perhaps the slow one, with the non standard LTE and Spark logo is a rooted device, with a custom ROM, and your issue lies in the radio part of that ROM?
  5. Lou, you a lobbyist? You sure sound like one. That or you lost money on this pro consumer move the FCC made.
  6. So, let's say the big ISP comes and says hey, you know what, S4GRU is popular, so, we are going to charge them to have their site load at non dial up speeds. What happens to this site? I bet you can figure it out. That is exactly why we need net neutrality. I don't want Comcast crippling a Sprint site, while pumping Verizon at 100 miles an hour. Thanks.
  7. Thats good to know, thanks. But the guy doing the speedtests for the reporting most likely didnt have a phone that had used so much data it was getting throttled. If you go buy a TMobile phone now and run nothing but speedtests, you are going to always get the best the network can offer, especially since the data doesnt count against your magic number that gets you throttled, versus my neighbor who has tmobile and pushes over 10 gigs a month of normal data, he would then see the slower speed reported.
  8. The point I am trying to make is, their speed is artificially inflated, due to the fact that many of their users are most likely being throttled. By throttling many, the unthrottled users or speedtesters, get a false sense of overall available bandwith. As much as I hate to say it, it makes a case for throttling under loaded conditions. I completely am against their prioritization of certain traffic though, in the name of a neutral net.
  9. No, you would get that speed with TMobile only if you were not over the limit that kicks off throttling for you. You would still get it on your speed test though because of how they let their speedtest data behave differently. This is the post I was referring too for those curious: https://twitter.com/JohnLegere/status/563048576214114304
  10. The magenta colored CEO put a post on Twitter showing magenta first, sprint a far last for average speed. Conveniently, he didn't mention how his users are probably throttled except when using speed test. Nice way to skew the facts for the uninformed.
  11. 4 hours on battery today, less than 2 with screen on, battery is at 48 percent already. Wtf did these guys do? I live next to my tower, so it's not due to a weak signal. But fore this update 13 hours was easy to achieve with normal use.
  12. With this latest update my battery is getting smoked. I cant even keep the thing charged now. Not sure what the hell happened, but I used to be able to stream non stop with it plugged in, and now, for the first time ever, I got a "you need to close apps or shut the screen off in order to charge" type of message. The charger, same stock charger it came with, suddenly cant keep up unless the phone is completely idle and not even being looked at from across the room.
  13. Looks like one towers coverage area. Perhaps during your stay the tower was down, maybe even receiving upgrades.
  14. Sporadic issues in northern CT market on some clear and some sprint B41. Nothing major, but similarly a stall in data flow and calls straight to voicemail. Growing pains.
  15. Apple makes great hardware. I hate their software policies and their desire to think they own your phone, that you bought. It stifles development and irritates me to no end. I have to work with mobile applications and I would rather do 100 android apps instead of 1 iOS app. Thats all I have to say on the android vs iOS discussion. Not going to take any bait.
  16. Corporations change the business model to make more money. Sprint would only do this if it made them more money. They dont care if it cuts into your wallet, or the hardware manufacturers wallet. And I say that's good for them, thats business. You don't run a business to make less money than possible.
  17. GPS still hasnt flopped once. My big gripe now is that they still havent fixed the Bluetooth connections. My S3 would connect to my truck instantly, all the time, the M8 connects instantly 1 in 10 times, the rest require bluetooth to be toggled, sometimes rebooting the phone, and sometimes it still doesnt work and takes 10-15 minutes after the reboot. Get on that HTC will ya?
  18. 5 hours after update, GPS hasnt broken once! We might be in business here!
  19. Sounds like the link on the HTC site is having some issues and will be updated. Check the XDA thread for details. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one-m8/general/htc-android-4-4-4-discussion-t2888993/page13
  20. Update is live on HTC site. Link is at the very bottom of the page. http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8-sprint/news/
  21. Does your phone ring when on B26? Maybe its a circuit switching issue. My M8 on B26 is perfectly fine. Heck, perfectly fine on any band. B25 might not be the best RF I have ever seen, but it hands off to B26 great, so I am ok with that.
  22. Its starting to come tonight... Last OTA, my phone didnt get for 3 weeks despite running manual checks multiple times daily. I know why they do it, but its annoying none the less.
  23. Tough to tell in those pictures, but, what I think are the NV panels are smaller than what would be the 8T8R panels, so that mean it wouldnt be 8T8R as those are smaller than NV panels height wise. got a better picture? PM me the site ID, maybe I can go take a peek first hand if its near by.
  24. Sometimes it's easier to crinkle the paper up instead of using white out. This shows the hunger of the new sprint to succeed. Great news.
  25. Any idea if the new update fixes the GPS issues?
