  1. There was an update to 30.1 when I updated my 6S+ to iOS 11.1.  I was promted as soon as the update for iOS was complete.  maybe that will help.  PRL is 55064

I’ve got 55064 but still on 30.0 What type of changes in 30.1?

  2. I have decided the X has the radio of the iphone 5. terrible. Part of me wants to go back to my 7+.  Need a carrier update right away. I am on 30.0.

    What's the current version?

I'm on 30.0 as well. Ironically I feel my X is great with service.

  3. Seeing some signs of life finishing leftover work being done on the NV towers. The tower on Rt 4 in Burlington at the high school is now broadcasting LTE, also the one in Canton where Rt 44, 202 and 179 meet is finally LTE too. Fairly recent turned on, just went thru the Canton one within the last month and was definitely still 3G. Mapped it on Sensorly.

I've noticed faster LTE acquisitions near 69 as well. I assume it's due to the high school.

  4. There isn't a power button. The "power button" is now a Siri or Apple pay button.

Does the "power button" activate Siri?

Does the volume down button work on its own?

My assumption is the case your using is at fault.

  5. No on both counts. Guidance for this year is $3.5 to $4 billion. Through the first 2 quarters they've spent $1.8 billion so they're on track there.
Years in this context refers to fiscal years. For Sprint the fiscal year ends on 3/31, meaning next year would be a little under 5 months away.

    Thanks for the correction

  6. ....

FYI, I'm a bit of a Dan Hesse defender, as I don't believe he was so bad of an executive at Sprint that some people claim he is.

    ....

I'll stop for now before this post gets too long. But to add quickly, I'm not saying acting fiscally conservative necessarily is a bad thing, and Sprint certainly needed some of this, but not at the cost of the network.

    Too late.

But on a serious note Dan knowingly walked into a mess. And did everything reasonably sound. But he also was his own worse enemy at times.

  7. Too late. I gave up. I wasted over 2 hours trying to figure this out for someone else.
I learned today that I am an Android user through and through [emoji3]. Nice phone, terrible software.

Except you can’t transfer or backup / restore on android. Ecosystem is where Apple scores.

I’m pro Android and iOS so not bashing.

  8. You don't need to be a powerhouse. The modem in iPhones aren't made by Qualcomm.

In any event intel still knows how to manufacture great chips.

But to your point intel modems are not able to connect as fast. Nor do they have sprint specific connections.

  9. I believe the AT&T/T-Mobile version of the iPhone X has the Intel Modem. The Sprint/Verizon/Unlocked version has the Qualcomm Modem.
What this means is that you can't bring your T-Mobile iPhone X over to a CDMA carrier like Sprint/Verizon.

And I believe the gsm model lacks band 41 besides the CDMA portion.
