Can't do what T-Mobile did, 2 different types of networks. Plus Sprint did a total network rebuild, T-Mobile at first did add ons after getting money from AT&T and then start on partial rebuild.
I agree with you -- BUT...

There was an update to 30.1 when I updated my 6S+ to iOS 11.1. I was promted as soon as the update for iOS was complete. maybe that will help. PRL is 55064
I’ve got 55064 but still on 30.0 What type of changes in 30.1?

I have decided the X has the radio of the iphone 5. terrible. Part of me wants to go back to my 7+. Need a carrier update right away. I am on 30.0.
What's the current version?
I'm on 30.0 as well. Ironically I feel my X is great with service.

Seeing some signs of life finishing leftover work being done on the NV towers. The tower on Rt 4 in Burlington at the high school is now broadcasting LTE, also the one in Canton where Rt 44, 202 and 179 meet is finally LTE too. Fairly recent turned on, just went thru the Canton one within the last month and was definitely still 3G. Mapped it on Sensorly.
I've noticed faster LTE acquisitions near 69 as well. I assume it's due to the high school.

I can't follow -- sorry. Have a nice day.

There isn't a power button. The "power button" is now a Siri or Apple pay button.
Does the "power button" activate Siri?
Does the volume down button work on its own?
My assumption is the case your using is at fault.

Same but is Charlie Ergen ready to relinquish control?
I believe he's checked out a few years ago.

It's power button and volume down -- hold for 3-5 sec
Volume Up is screenshot.

No on both counts. Guidance for this year is $3.5 to $4 billion. Through the first 2 quarters they've spent $1.8 billion so they're on track there.
Years in this context refers to fiscal years. For Sprint the fiscal year ends on 3/31, meaning next year would be a little under 5 months away.
Thanks for the correction

Sounds like changes and expansion on the network is going to be happening fast AF.
But this year isn't capex 2.5b
Next year is 11 months away, no?

It’s a good ad. My argument is that the majority stay in their ecosystem.
Competition is good.
That said. I’m loving my new X

What are you saying? Sorry I'm not following.
Sorry...
In that linked tweet they show how much the others are spending for capex. And TMO is 10b. But maybe that was just due to 600mhz.

Great news!
Damn I didn’t know TMO was burning that much per year on upgrades.
Sort of dwarfs this

Yeah, here is too hoping they get something signed with Charter and Kabletown (Comcast for non-30 Rock-ers). Any preferred access to their physical plants should help speed up deployment of B41 services at better cost.
I suspect Kabletown will stick with VZW

FYI, I'm a bit of a Dan Hesse defender, as I don't believe he was so bad of an executive at Sprint that some people claim he is.
....
I'll stop for now before this post gets too long. But to add quickly, I'm not saying acting fiscally conservative necessarily is a bad thing, and Sprint certainly needed some of this, but not at the cost of the network.
Too late.
But on a serious note Dan knowingly walked into a mess. And did everything reasonably sound. But he also was his own worse enemy at times.

Well I’m still team Robert...
The communication today wasn’t that of a failed merger nor ended merger.
It was to simply imply both sides have walked away.

If Son is serious about this and truly is going to finance Sprint, that would be great. I just don't believe he's going to after all these times he's been trying to get rid of Sprint.
Except if he wanted to dump Sprint he would have today.
It seems none of us have a clue here.

Honestly I don’t think the current administration will take kindly to any mergers within the same ecosystem. Especially if it will produce less new hires then cuts.
If the feds block ATT and TWMedia it will be a tough road for anyone.

It would be truly great to see Son just crap all over TMO

Too late. I gave up. I wasted over 2 hours trying to figure this out for someone else.
I learned today that I am an Android user through and through [emoji3]. Nice phone, terrible software.
Except you can’t transfer or backup / restore on android. Ecosystem is where Apple scores.
I’m pro Android and iOS so not bashing.

It seems Qualcomm might have a new owner. One that’s buddies with Potus
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
There sure are alot of them lately.
Now that I'm settled with T-Mobile, I'm hoping the merger happens, or at least a T-Mobile/Dish merger would be nice.
You don't want dish anywhere near TMO. Ergen is too type A to work with John L

You don't need to be a powerhouse. The modem in iPhones aren't made by Qualcomm.
In any event intel still knows how to manufacture great chips.
But to your point intel modems are not able to connect as fast. Nor do they have sprint specific connections.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I believe the AT&T/T-Mobile version of the iPhone X has the Intel Modem. The Sprint/Verizon/Unlocked version has the Qualcomm Modem.
What this means is that you can't bring your T-Mobile iPhone X over to a CDMA carrier like Sprint/Verizon.
And I believe the gsm model lacks band 41 besides the CDMA portion.
