Well, that sure is something.
Sort of. Saw it here

So there seems to be some talk of a nationalized 5g network to be mandated by the government.

Some of those are repeaters. LTE is uncertain on those. The full new sites are NV, and perhaps even tri-band. They will have LTE once the appropriate backhaul is acquired and integration crews have been at the site.
Of course that statement could’ve been said anytime in the last 3+ years. No?

The CT siting website updated and there are a lot of permits issued for 2.5ghz upgrades
Noticed that — late December. No?

I’ve had faceID for over a month - odd.

It was actually quite a bit:
https://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/12/20/att-and-t-mobile-whats-2-billion-among-friends/
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2011/12/att-admits-defeat-on-t-mobile-takeover-will-pay-4-billion-breakup-fee/
and it started the ball rolling on T-Mobile’s LTE Network build:
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2012/02/t-mobile-takes-3-billion-att-breakup-fee-builds-4g-lte-network/
I wouldn’t call three billion in cash nearly 7 years ago a huge amount over the last 7 years.
Oh yes it was needed cash they needed no doubt about it. Along with a hefty bucket of free roaming.
But I’d have to look up each year - I have feeling their Capex was much more than that the following years.
The excuses never end lol.
Seriously though you have to give TMO a slow clap [emoji122] at least. They had the most fragile network of the four. The least amount of subs. Yet leaped frogged over Sprint in subscribers. And have won many battles against vzw.
Now back on topic to see how Sprint can finally turn it around. I really hope with tower build out it’ll bring us back to 3rd.

My understanding was cut back to raise money for a higher capex in 2018. Some people talk about how well Tmobile has done all while Forgetting it was att's money that paid for that.

Att didn’t pay off that much money....

I get that Softbank purchased the stocks. But why Marcelo on the board instead of Masa?
My theory isn’t to welcome here. But I’d say Sprint is either going to be fully purchased by SoftBank and then be reorganized heavily along with brand change.

Why would he be on Uber's board? Possible CEO changes in near future?
Could be — but he’s on Softbank’s board too.
And back to Uber I believe he’s got some actual say (above the typical board members).

Now I know how t-mobile is getting into TV, by way of a cable company layer 3, they aren't in all areas though.
No - if they want local programming. It’s extremely difficult. As not all local channels are owned and operated by the network.
And I assume TMO will need to beef up it’s network too.

Well in the end 3g, 4g, LTE, mimo, 5g it doesn’t really matter!!!
Hope everyone has a great Christmas, and New Years! Oh and a safe one!

I sincerely believe BGR is written or edited by tmo employees.
I don't click on their articles instead opening pages in the related search on Google.

Ever since they were sold. Bgr is the worst.

Sprint's system optimizations on Qualcomm SOCs, specifically the current snap dragons are the only ones doing it. Apple is busy slowing down 6's and 7's depending on the battery state unless you get the battery replace and we all know about Apple slowing down Qualcomm modems in there devices to equal speeds with Intel models.

I saw that this morning. Very negative article.
I wouldn't call it negative.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Why would there be?

I wouldn't call them slow.... Rather cautious.
Stability is key for Apple.

Weird. I turned it back on and it's not working at all for me at the moment.
Update: I did a service update, and it's back up and running.
Service update?

It was kind of cool that he mentioned twice that he wanted to talk about the network plans before they actually go to that point. It Points to some excitement with in the company for the or plans or messaging they want the markets to hear.
Agree BUT I still think less talk or boasting till the switch is flipped. Just my 2 cents

Ditto
What do we gain by having 31.0?

The past phone was an iPhone 6S+. It is nice but the smaller size will take longer for me to adjust to.
Agreed — I’ve come to like the smaller chassis but enjoy the big screen.

Received my new iPhone X today. Damn, this is going to take time to get use to.
What did you come over from?
It’s a great phone though

Not to mention Sprint's Honda has shown theoretical of 1Gbps, which is higher than T-Mobiles Ferrari 600mbps. This article is so far off base, it's a good example of why I don't read The Motley Fool anymore.

That publication is utter trash. Personally I find it almost illegal for stock miniuplation
But I know it's not. Just my view point

Not sure it's entirely due to the X -- I recall the 7 plus had the same issue last year --- I assume its an actual MFG issue with the driver/speaker. The ones Apple and Samsung seem to use are very loud.
Not giving Apple a free pass here -- but they are fixing it. VS saying yeah it's normal and we will address with software

Just asking — but isn’t this what makes cell service so reliable and robust In Europe? Not to mention very competitive?
