Government (FCC) reopens probably Monday.... Merger back on for review... do you think we'll see any quick movement now?
I hope so
But starting to think this merger is a unicorn lol.

I agree [emoji106] with you Greenbastard!
This whole thing is really Much Adu About Nothing!
Yes...from a PR perspective it doesn't look really good, but if the FCC and FTC Commissioners are really going to judge a Merger on where someone stays, then that is petty.

Agree as well
Now if TMO decided to hold their Excutive holiday party at the place and rent out a couple hundred rooms and a few ball rooms. Then I might be critical or more.
But a few nights at $300 a pop - nope.

T-Mobile announced a merger needing Trump administration approval. The next day, 9 executives had reservations at Trump’s hotel.
T-Mobile CEO’s first stop after cutting Sprint deal? Trump’s DC hotel, report says

A pulse check from the T-Mobile Subreddit:

It almost as if he doesn’t want it to be approved. Which I highly doubt.
I’m feeling it was selected based on location and safety.

I have a feeling that band 26 will be sold off to some company or agency ...

No loss as it’s a waste with Sprint.

There’s definitely some interesting history between Legere and the President. Wonder if this has any impact on the Merger.
From May 2018: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-02/t-mobile-ceo-checks-into-trump-hotel-on-fence-mending-dc-mission
I’d see more concern with “recent” post honeymoon phase of SoftBank and POTUS.
But yeah with John’s trump tower tweeets from years ago - yeah

Tmobile is stupid to an extent anyways ...tmobile really needs to just shut up and expand coverage...i dont care about speed if the coverage consistency and quality isn't there...

Same could be said for Sprint then too.

Well when I see my plan stay the same for more than a year after the merger I'll be inclined to agree with you.
Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk
A single line plan may increase. Just my educated guess.
If I only needed a single line I’d most likely be on a month to month carrier plan. Typically better deals. But every one has their specific needs so not judging.

I see the merger as not less competition but rather stronger competition. And rates - who knows. But I don’t suspect higher any time soon. $140 I pay Tmo now for two lines is a great deal!

I assume the FCC and DOJ were waiting on this security sign off. DOJ will follow and then the FCC ...

Not sure if it’s repost ....

I’m pro merger here.
BUT
I find it extremely odd how they - especially Sprint. Is so open to talking about how they appear to have discussed this with a coordinated effort with TMO. Isn’t that “illegal “ ?

I suspect many of the Sprint users would be happy being on TMOs networks. And I assume from past experience Tmo will get sprints network working quick.

Well this would be the logical path. Otherwise what’s the point

I'm glad they did they are a crooked company

I don’t see them as crooked... first and foremost they are a COMPANY.
Oh well

I feel bad for Sprint being taken over by such a crappy company.

Remind me again why people want this merger to happen?!

Keep the eye on the prize — it’s about customers and spectrum.

My assumption is that Tmo and sprint claim job growth due to entering two new vertical spots: TV service and home fixed internet via 5g.

T-Mobile is renovating its Bellevue HQ in anticipation of the merger: https://www.t-mobile.com/news/new-hq-remodel
$160 Million over 3 years.
Good times over T-Mobile....
Oh and I assume much of this is was a negotiation to renew their lease.

That’s what happens when you have a plan and can execute on it. And have customers....

T-Mobile is [emoji90]. I hope the merger fails and sprint continues to upgrade and expand as they are now... sprint can stomp on the other carriers if they can keep up this pace.
That’s [emoji1]

I don’t think Sprint could survive either.
I don’t think TMO can continue to be the underdog on offers - with out Sprint.

Considering T-MOBILE has brought up their 600mhz network to huge proportion—in less than a year. And was able to get the majority of new phones to support it as well. I’d say TMO and that evil Ray does over deliver.
But I agree that combining both TMO and Sprint is a huge undertaking

With TMO when you call in for help the first time you are designated an experience center (call center) and also a specific team/person. Each time you call they will do their best to get you back to the same person (or team, or experience center) pending time of day and busyness.
It’s 100x better than the off shore crap Sprint does. Not slamming Sprint - just my observation.
