So does this mean Sprint customers should start roaming on Tmo if coverage is poor?
-
Sprint has gone back and forth with in-footprint roaming for many, many years.
Robert
I’m probably missing a post as I e been gone for awhile. But why aren’t they on Tmo for roaming.

it's been over a year since I
annoyed folks herei mean posted here -- just curious how is service in CT these days? -
On what?
Best modern example I suppose is buying 600mhz that many panned as meh and many here said Tmo wouldn’t get it operational soon and have issues with local tv stations. I’d say they rolled it pretty damn quick (not finished yet though).

Didn't they say they would have 5G in 30 cities by the end of 2018 or some BS like that?
My apologies-
I was referring to TMO typically under promising and just delivering in what looks like abundance.

Maybe they should try under promising and over delivering instead of the normal over promise under deliver.
You’re thinking of TMO

From that article, "In this scenario, Dish would provide some spectrum to T-Mobile and then T-Mo would give Dish access to capacity on its network for wireless service. This would enable Dish to offer cellphone service while also saving it some cash since it wouldn’t have to build a network from scratch."
Exactly what I have been saying for a while now. 600MHz and AWS-3 can be deployed right away, AWS-4 will be implemented as part of 5G deployment. Maybe they can convince Comcast to throw in their 600Mhz spectrum.
Yup
And dish doesn’t throw away 20billion in spectrum.

This merger is now totally different from what was originally planned merging and creating a fourth carrier, giving up spectrum, at this point I sound like a broken record. Son needs to give up and take the "L" and sell Sprint to someone that will actually spend the money and get Sprint back on its feet, if Sprint needs to file chapter 11 bankruptcy, do stock offerings, sell portions of their network so be it this has become a clown show at this point.
I don’t think anyone would buy!

If dish will be made to cough up all its spectrum that it's hogging then then Sprint will be in a better position

I think you missed my Point

Sprint have enough spectrum but not enough cash.
That, and I know l'll get flack here
But just imagine what Ray Nevelle could do with Sprints spectrum.

Well right now I pay 29 dollars on Sprint and do those plans have high speed?

Verizon charges that because two main reasons, not one of which is a government stance (to my knowledge)
1) network infrastructure upgrades
2) perception of coverage ;-)

That’s the upload on 5G? Really?
That’s how you know it’s Sprint ;-)

Well that’s a crappy turn of events :-(
Hopefully just bad rumors

Did I read somewhere; that Tmo was willing to sell Metro?!?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yeah that's what I thought. So Sprint either got screwed or got a deal they couldn't pass up. I wonder which.
Maybe roaming. But yeah zero spectrum since att is very very limited

Time for SoftBank to find some new banks... or it could find itself with a bankrupt asset.
I suspect that would actually be preferred for SoftBank. As it would remove doubt
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Didn't Dish want Sprint around the same time Softbank got them? Seems like that would have been a better choice.
Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk
I doubt it. Charlie doesn’t have the capitol.

Marcelo moved to Japan a handful of months ago. I think he moved his whole family to Tokyo from what I can see on his twitter feed. He ain't coming back to Overland Park ever again. The guy got a big promotion as a Softbank executive for cutting so many expenses at Sprint.
Maybe I missed something but why would he be in Kansas?
He works for SoftBank

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/16/sprint-stock-falls-10percent-on-report-t-mobile-merger-is-unlikely-to-be-approved-as-currently-structured.htmlGood news everyone
The Justice Department is unlikely to approve a planned merger between T-Mobile and Sprint, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.
Staffers from the Justice Department have reportedly told both carriers that the deal may not be approved under its current structure, the Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Good if you are Verizon or ATT

Trump tweets are somewhat meaningless to most outcomes, but, to me it signifies a trend of moving towards a future where deploying the next new networks will be met with less red tape.
Who knew 6g would be so hard

How long (realistically) before Arkansas is completed?
I'd say not till TMO takes over. #sorry #theyGetStuffDone
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
T-Mobile's rates have risen to almost Verizon/AT&T levels so him promising they will not rise is a rather empty promise.
Idk if that’s true.... I pay $140 for two lines (could drop to $120 but give up some features) that includes taxes and Netflix. With vzw it would be $180 plus taxes. Sure it’s $40+Netflix.
I’d rather Tmo and sprint charge a fair price and offer s kick ass network.
Not saying you’re wrong
Just my perspective.

Not sure it makes any difference at this stage ....

FWIW in my area I’m seeing slightly faster download speed around 20-60mbps (use to be 5-20) and huge increase in upload at 7-15mbps where it was .5 to 2 before).
