  1. Nobody is questioning your intelligence. However until a significant breakthrough happens again in the wireless Industry I would expect those 20-30mb speeds to dwindle. Sprint has 50 million-ish subscribers & as more of those customers use LTE; speeds will go down. I could see speeds down to 4-12 average in big cities like yours. You have to remember that overall data demand is doubling annually right now and I don't foresee any decline in internet usage...any time soon. Luckily, Sprint is very capable to handle growth with its broad spectrum portfolio.
  2. Darn. One day it will turn on.. I'm out at 51 county line in BA. -110 dBm. No data
  3. This speed test was aprox 2 miles from the tower on 91&aspen...Crews were not present at 3:30, however top panels look new and blatenly obvious mud tracks exist all over around the site.
  4. I wish i knew what their actual start date was but judging off what i have seen/heard i could see something like 15 sites complete within 2 weeks. If they wait till all the sites in Tulsa to complete before going live it would take an upwards of 4 months before we saw LTE. Though it would seem in Sprint's best interest to turn on towers quickly as soon as they're complete, that way current users would notice a gradually improving network, then upon completion Sprint could officially "launch" the market making its official PR announcement and advertisements etc. I would think this would be the most aggressive path, and now is a good time for Sprint to be aggressive!
  5. Could they not bring in Microwave backhaul to those sites? Even temporarily (2/3 months) or however long it takes in order to run fiber. Otherwise they have an investment that is not making any return, as well as increasingly lower chances of aquireing new customers,or retaining the old ones. I know VZW used microwave when fiber was unavailable..probably mostly temporarily.
  6. Well they are back at it again today in! Many more crews today than yesterday, there were several trucks out there. Speeds & ping times were severely sub par, probably directly related to them actually working on the tower. More info in the sponsor section =)
  7. do you think they are waiting to make them discoverable so that they have denser coverage when they do turn on LTE?
  8. surely that cant be the norm though right?
  9. They are doing the whole site..backhaul. cabinets.Installation. the guys were friendly and knowledgable
  10. I'm not sure. I asked who's providing backhaul for us..he said they are. He also said our back haul was fiber.....the company is called techsico
  11. I spoke to our vendor. They are a local Tulsa company and they provide 100% of the service. Including backhaul
  12. AHH you guys scare me! I surely hope they turn them on for use!
  13. Ah, i toggled airplane mode twice. No LTE. He said it needed to be integrated and that usually only takes a few days.
  14. i about peed in my pants i was so excited when i saw that sight driving down memorial!! near the tower i got 1800 kbps down 900 up...78 ms ping!
  15. My home tower was on the fritz this morning, i drove down memorial and found crews working on a site just past 131st in Bixby. Talked to someone who was pretty knowledgeable for about 5 minutes. I was informed that there are a lot of contractors working in the Oklahoma market right now..i was actually told its a "hot market" ...anyway there's about 8 sets of crews in the Tulsa area and he said they are cranking out as much as they can. Sorry my pics are not great, i only have my phone's camera. The backhaul is fiber..at least for that particular site.
  16. Had excellent speeds around noon. Bout 4:30 I lost all signal and when it came back on it was mega slow. .idk the deal.
  17. How far down the Interstate would that 4G signal be usable?
  18. Is that from a tower on the Oklahoma market? Also to my understanding a custom PRL is required for the 800 1x. Will this PRL be pushed to end users when a tower is turned on?
  19. Thats super close to the tower!! Lte speeds should be awesome when its on. (Hopefully soon)
  20. How far from the tower are you and what is your signal strength in dBm?
  21. Pulling 2 megs without an airave might be an indicator! I think ive heard pings under 100ms is a good sign. eHRPD has been down for 24 hours....dont know if this could indicate work, ive not seen crews.
  22. Have you ever had GMO Robert? I want some in Tulsa even if it stains!............. besides that "staining" will look really nice on Sensorly
