  1. Not claiming to be an expert but i suspect T-mobile has the gain set high and increased the amplitude of the signal. I myself wonder how significant a 200 mhz difference is when it comes to RF penetration. And many other variables come into play as well you know!
  2. Hmm, well i wish it would hop back on eHrpd. The network is unusable on EVDO_A on that Union tower at all times of the day except 2 AM!
  3. What causes you to lose an eHrpd connection? I have had constant eHrpd in south Tulsa for the past 2/3 months, today it dropped and has been EVDO_A since noon. As this is the first time i have noticed this to happen i am just curious as to what may be causing that.
  4. My state is just beginning NV and i have a few questions. Is there going to be a difference in coverage from the current network? For example there are about 7 spots off the top of my head in Tulsa that are guaranteed dead spots. My house is well covered (-85dbm) but at peak times the network is unusable at my home near the mall. Will this be resolved with LTE? My girlfriends home in Broken arrow is NOT well covered(-105) and she is a Sprint customer. Is Sprint deploying GMO stations to take care of these places with coverage gaps or will these continue to be deadzones until 800mhz deployment?
  5. This Union tower carries a huge load. At times it is completely unusable. Hopefully it is in line to receive a HUGE upgrade with NV & LTE. I tested last night after midnight and had a ping of 78ms! Just before posting this i had a ping of 858ms.
  6. The union site is not the wimax site. (Actual confirmed wimax site is about a mile southwest. I live no more than a half a mile from the wimax site and the signal does not reach me. I had an 82 MS ping at the b.a movie theatre on Lynn lane this evening. Todays speed and ping times have been complete opposite of yesterday. I had a 1300ms ping! (On the union tower)
  7. Here are my home site tests from yesterday around lunch. I had about -91dbm and its an eHrpd connection.
  8. Yeah my default site looks weird. Its on the union high School parking lot. My secondary site is at 81 mingo and looks like a legacy tower for sure. Ill keep my eyes peeled for crews. So they are adding in between existing cells and reconfiguring the 3g frequency on each tower as part of nv? Im too excited for this, excellent pictures by the way.
  9. My ping times have ranged from 80-130 with an occasional 225 or something. downloads average 1100kbps upload 700. This is a serious step in the right direction for the Oklahoma market.
  10. This is all so exciting! i hadn't seen ping times/3g speeds like this since i was in Memphis last month. And lte speeds were awesome as well.
  11. i would like to add, i live just off 71 & Mingo. The past 2 days i have noticed a huge change. My ping times were previously 200+ MS. Since wednesday my ping times have dropped to 90-110MS (average 97MS out of 8 tests) average download speed of around 900 kbps and 600 up. Hope we continue to see this spread!
  12. I found a Tower in Bixby Ok today that appears to be upgraded. If i can confirm that this is a Sprint site that will make it the first tower that i have seen with an upgrade from Sprint in the area. I took a picture of the tower (base station is surrounded by large privacy fence). It is located no more than 2 football fields from a Sprint store. The location of the Tower is near E 106th St in Bixby. Just off Memorial. Standing near the tower i was able to get speeds of 1.7Mb down and 0.8 up ( that is insane for Sprint around tulsa) Hopefully you guys can help me confirm that this is a Sprint tower! http://tinypic.com/r/6gxv8y/6
  13. i did quote you but i like the idea of 5x5 and just running more as needed. Sounds like an efficient solution. I would love to see an LTE connection in Tulsa from Sprint soon, Verizon has had LTE here since mid 2011 and AT&T got it turned on in November.
  14. So does LTE advanced come back and do 10x10 everywhere? or are they only running 10x10 in giant markets?
  15. I have a question about the Oklahoma market. I have read that we are a market expecting to begin soon, and ive heard we may have live LTE in a few cow towns. Tulsa LTE is going to be a 5x5 and what about OKC? is it 10x10? I hope sprint anticipates the users in oklahoma better than they did with their 3g buildout. Our 3g is still very weak and spotty in much of tulsa. and especially dense suburbs like broken arrow. Ever since their roaming agreement in the rural parts fell through, and failed wimax Sprint's reputation in OK has gone to
