The problem is if somebody else buys freedom pop then Sprint potentially looses a MVNO that pays them money.
But now Sprint is on the hook for those "free" plans including those "free" devices

I do know I have B41 at home. Sometimes I do get connected to it when I am outside the house. The signal is pretty strong -85 - 95
And when I step in the house, I still get pretty decent signal. 97 - 105
However, If somehow I lose B41, like a phone reboot or walk into basement, I will never be able to connect to B41.Airplane mode after airplane mode only stay in B25. I sometimes connect to B26 but it will quickly send me back to B25. (If they try to preserve the capability in B26, I can understand that). But I don't understand why my phone won't connect to B41

This only makes sense if they are trying to keep freedom pop out of somebody else's hands and if they roll freedom pop, virgin and boost into one unit.
They don't have to buy it. They just launch a similar product under Virgin Mobile / Boost brand as they did in Virgin Mobile Custom
-
Looks like someone buy Freedompop first.

Set your phone to LTE only. You will stay at LTE. But you won't received and make calls. They have to drop to 1X to make phone call

Im not working today sorry.

Does employee discount apply to the new $60 individual plan?
-
Yeah, I think a reasonable hotspot allotment would have been a good move. Even if it was 300-500MB. Something. But it's not the end of the world. Adding it for a day here and there and turning off when not needed is not a big deal or expense. But it would have been better to throw a bone with hotspot usage.

And sprint should made that even easier for people to add hotspot for just 1 day. Like a splash landing page for adding the feature

Ok. the new plan's web page is bootstrap styled.

Good. $60 unlimited is what considered to be very reasonable

In a roundabout way, if churn increases are logged as a result of excessive roaming being denied, this is a beautiful source of data to remind sprint where its biggest issues are with inadequate organic coverage. It should have always been this way, rather than letting customers go unmetered and sweeping the roaming bill under the rug

But wasn't that the reason Virgin Mobile/ Boost Mobile exist? There are different tiers of service between Sprint and Virgin Mobile/Boost and they priced differently.
-
Do they give you an option to pay for roaming? as it is an option for Mobile Broadband device. 25 cents / MB
-
Used to be, now it works across all markets. It's "deployed," and should work between two devices anywhere in native Sprint coverage sites that have the new Network Vision equipment on them, barring any issues with the sites.
EVRC-NW is indeed the HD voice codec.
But right now, even if I am calling a landline number, it is still using EVRC-NW
Doing some google on EVRC-NW, it says the codec is using variable rate. If both were on EVRC-NW, it will run high bit, otherwise, it will keep using the old bit rate under EVRC_NW name

Starring today sprint will enforce roaming data limits. At 75% 90% and 100% of the limit a text message will be sent. Once you hit you data roaming limit you will be redirected to a landing page explaining roaming limits. Once your bill cycle starts over you data roaming will start again.
Do you have the source of information?
-
Is it the reason they now allow 3G roaming? Because if you run at high speed, allotment will run out fast.

My Stock PRL is 55019
And it is in DC.
-
You're voice is on Verizon, your data is on Sprint. Covered many times before.
Edit: You're roaming Voice and Data on Verizon. There have been recent PRL updates.
Really? Now, we can have 3G roaming?
-
This isn't the correct forum for this, but most likely you are roaming with 1x and EV-DO on Verizon's network.
I am not a business account. I think I could only get 1X roaming. By the way, how could I make the image smaller? I probably should post it in general topic or LTE roll out
-
So, is it EVDO roaming? Or 1X Roaming?
-
Well per the tweet from sprint yesterday, it seems unlimited is for individuals. Which from an accounting and profitable stand point makes more sense than a family share.
On Framily, you can pay extra for unlimited. But you don't have that options for the new plan
But it's good to know there are still unlimited out there.

Unlimted for life guarantee doesn't mean they will offer an unlimited plan forever to new customer, only if you have unlimited data you can keep it. I am starting to think you are purposely misrepresenting these New plans.
I know. The point I am trying to make is: Does it hints that Sprint is considering getting out of "unlimited data" business?
-
I would think not. As long as both phones are HD voice capable, it should be fine.
The other guy is S3.
Just now when I call 611, I saw EVRC-NW is used. Is that a HD voice?
-
Does both person has to be in the same market for HD voice ?

A number WISP operators here in the US are owned by a company called Jab Wireless. I think they have like 9 or 10 different companies now. They serve many mid-western and a few western states. They are in mostly areas with just the local phone company who refuses to finish their fiber buildout, and maybe a cable company who wants $5,000+ to run cable less than a quarter of a mile. In my area, my WISP works pretty well, offering 3/5/10/15Mbps plans. I just recently found out that they are capping the 10 & 15 Mbps plans now. Nothing on their website says they are, yet. Otherwise my only other option is a mobile broadband card from one of the 4 major wireless companies, but it's too expensive when you have such a small data cap.
What technology did Jab Wireless use?
Let's get serious about this proposed US Cellular buyout.

If Sprint buy Freedompop
And it will be a PR problem for Sprint, if they change the term unilaterally.
No Contract doesn't mean you can change the "Term of sales".
Sprint could stop providing free 500M a month service. But those device were not sell to users. They were loan to user with a deposit. And it will be difficult to refuse a refund for device deposit.
If others buy:
Whoever buy it has to deal with it
