  1. I run IT for our church. I'm often in the sound/video booth. I end up seeing several services and do the video editing. So I usually don't feel too bad playing on my phone occasionally. ;)

I sit behind the camera when I'm at church. I haven't learned video editing yet. But I hope to soon. And there is no time for playing on the phone when behind the camera. My pastor likes moving back and forth on the platform.

  2. Agree, with the Embarq's land line resources Sprint would be in a much stronger strategic position and would have more options both operationally and financially.

I agree. I remember living in Vegas in the early 90's and we had Sprint for our landline. I was surprised when they spun the landline division off into Embarq.

  3. Yeah it is total BS if you ask me. I hope this doesn't start a trend of things to come.

I hope not either. If Google continues to pull this crap on us, then they need to lose.

Not only funny, but I agree whole heartedly. I can watch Netflix on my rooted device. This is BS. I hope WebOS free source takes off.

I hope WebOS takes off too. It's just too bad it has it's roots in Palm, which died a horrible death in the tech sector.

  4. Is this the one with the floating icons in NYC? If so, I think that was the last one done by the old agency, or maybe i missed the new one.

Yes, that's the one I saw. I thought that was cool to emphasize unlimited data as a good selling point for the iPhone.

  5. Always good to have a throw down phone for those just in case moments. I'm waiting for VoLTE to become prominent. Phone prices should be cheaper and with SIM cards you can switch according to your needs like a GSM phone. CDMA is easy to switch if you have a phone or a computer to contact Sprint, but GSM is easier .

That was the only thing I liked about at&t & T-Mobile, the ability to switch phones as needed. Especially since I was so good at wrecking phones, lol.

  6. ICS can run on it, but it would have to be a scaled down version of it. It needs a talented developer to work it out. Are there any left on the Evo Shift? Might be because there still isn't any sliders released since the Epic/Evo shift era

Team Mik still has a few developers working with the shift, and a few random ones on xda, but development has slowed significantly. The biggest issue with the shift on ICS is video drivers and 4G.

  7. Sprint is my favorite carrier out of the four. Can't beat their voice coverage and I've been content with my 3G data speeds. I made the choice to stick them out until NV is complete before i make any further decisions. T-Mobile has me intrigued occasionally, but I can't get past the "swiss cheese" coverage in my area.

I totally agree with you on the T-Mobile "swiss cheese" coverage. That is the same problem they have in Pahrump. (Their coverage map lies for my area.)

  8. Well yeah, I thought you were talking about a higher percentage off and not including sero plans.

If I could get into a SERO plan and drop my bill from $100/ month, I would be so happy for the year. But if I can't, then I'll stick with my 25% discount.

  9. I have followed AJ's Sprint spectrum maps and posts for years. I am very grateful that he has decided to haunt our virtual halls. He's a tremendous resource.

Yeah, It's nice to have someone with access to a tremendous amount of knowledge about Sprint so that they can share it with us!
