  1. Same here. Drob said that because the Shift & the Design use the same Qualcomm chipset and the same graphics, that it makes it easier to port the newer ROM over. The only major thing they have to change is the resolution settings between the 2 phones. I'm excited. WiMax was the only reason I haven't switched to ICS yet.
  2. Now that would be the harder answer to find out. It may have been one of their friends who did it. For me it seems that if I put a Sense based ROM on my Shift, everything works fine, but most AOSP ROM's I've tried seem to have problems with my phone & GPS. Unless it's my GPS chip giving the problem, but then that would be phone number 2.
  3. According to a post over at XDA, drob311 pointed out that because they got a working leak of ICS for the EVO Design, they can now start work on porting the ROM to the Shift. Soon I can have my ICS and my WiMax too. What an exciting day yesterday was. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25601108&postcount=360
  4. Then that makes sense. What other frequencies can share antennas to lower the number of antennas in a phone?
  5. Sounds like an awesome deal. However, I'm not ready for a tablet. I'm still stuck on keeping my laptop around, lol.
  6. If at&t really thinks that they can blame the T-Mobile deal for all their problems, then Randall Stephenson is an idiot and needs to be kicked. at&t's greed prevents them from recycling their spectrum. And I have much more to rant about regarding at&stinks, but I'm going to hold my tongue.
  7. If you are on a custom ROM, then chances are they removed the 'bloatware' that Sprint put on. Later I will upload the apk to my DropBox and post the link in the General Sub-Forum.
  8. Actually, some Sprint TV channels now work on WiFi. Took Sprint long enough to make that available.
  9. Simple, FDD LTE uses less bandwidth and provides nearly the same capabilities. To me, that's a good thing.
