Clark County Nevada won't show the details of the plans, in order to see them you have to walk into their offices in Vegas, supposedly due to copyright. But at least I can see the actual building permits.

You are right, MetroPCS doesn't sell the iPhone. Verizon & at&t prepaid for smartphones suck. It's a wonder that anyone even buys their smartphones anymore.

I think this was more of a generous holiday PR push to try to get more customers to buy the GS III and the Note II, because they aren't losing that much to give those out.

It sure was a good way to one up the competition, since Verizon and at&t won't support the iPhone on prepaid. And since MetroPCS and Cricket do, then Virgin needed the iPhone to keep up with those too.

The change will happen, but the big question is when. As of right now, we aren't entirely sure that the FCC and the Justice Department will let the Clearwire go through. Only time will tell. And from what has been quoted around here, Sprint was going to move to removable SIM's for their next generation LTE devices anyway, we just don't know when that generation will start.
