  1. I was able to get Forum Runner working tonight. Although, I personally prefer Tapatalk over Forum Runner. But that's just me. I also got a lot of emoticons installed...check these out... :jester:
  2. The new Sprint 4G Rollout Updates website and forums went live today. Do you know that the new forums are supported in several mobile formats? See the options below: Forum Runner. This app includes a free limited feature version and a paid version for Android, iPhone and iPad. Tapatalk. This app does not have a free version, but is supported by Android, iPhone and BlackBerry. Mobile Site. The new S4GRU site also includes an HTML5 mobile website. The mobile site not only supports the forums, but also includes additional content, like our news articles, wall posts and status updates. Now, when you are on the go, you can easily keep up to date and participate with Sprint 4G Rollout Updates. You asked for it, and we delivered. We want S4GRU to be your place to go for Sprint and/or 4G information and forum discussions on the web!

We are glad to see you around S4GRU. And no matter what name you go by, I hope we see you around often. Our new forums are compatible with the Tapatalk app, and soon Forum Runner too. You can also use our Mobile HTML5 site on the go in your mobile device browser.
  5. We wrote a quick blurb about this subject back in October. There is a slide that Sprint has shown all over the place that say they will covering 123 Million Americans with LTE by the end of 2012. Leaving 67M people in WiMax areas and 56M in Non-WiMax areas. Sounds like they are going to be mixing it up. S4GRU Article: http://s4gru.spruz.c...-first/blog.htm If you are able to find the article, post the link. Thanks!
  6. I agree with this thinking, but I'm only 99% sure. There is one percent of me that is a naive child that holds on to hope for the impossible.
  7. I think you're right about the timing. If they haven't already made a deal with Samsung with the Note, it probably is too late. If they just now tried to work out a deal with Samsung to carry it, it would be pretty obsolete by the time it got to market. However, if they did decide it was too late for getting this iteration of the Note, strong consumer demand illustrated in the petition, could get them to possibly carry a future Note like product perhaps based on the new upcoming GS3. Thanks for your first comment here on S4GRU. I hope to see you around often. - Robert
  8. And here I thought I was the only person who read Rethink Wireless!
  9. That is an interesting article. It's not something I had really considered when I think about how poor battery performance is with 4G devices. I just moved to a new house last month. I'm much closer to a Sprint tower now. I now always have full bars with a -65dBm to -72dBm signal. I used to have a -91dBm to -96dBm signal. My battery life has improved about 30% to 40% with the move to a better signal. In standby, my E4GT will only use about a third of it's battery life in a full day. My work BlackBerry is even more dramatic than that. I last charged it up on Friday during the work day. Right now it still is at 75%. When it comes to battery life, there is no substitute for a good strong signal. And 4G would be no exception to that. Thanks for posting the article!
  10. Tapatalk is very good. However you can't view the rest of the S4GRU website content on it. Just the forums. To use the S4GRU Mobile site, go in to your Mobile Browser and type in s4gru.forumflash.com in the address bar. Many browsers will automatically be detected as a Mobile device and automatically load the mobile site. In others, it will load the S4GRU fron page as normal. But if you go down to the lower left hand corner of the page, there is a hyperlink that says "View Mobile Site." Click on that and the S4GRU mobile site in HTML5 will reload on your page. The HTML5 mobile website allows you to view news articles and blogs and virtually all of the full site features of the S4GRU website!
  11. Yeah, I need to update. Newer devices like the Evo 3D, Motorola Photon and the Epic 4G Touch would connect with no issues while roaming. However, the Epic and Evo could not connect when roaming originally. However, an update last summer fixed it for the Evo and Epic OG to run 4G WiMax when roaming. The problems with the OG phones was that they used the Sprint network data connection to authenticate with Sprint's servers. Now they are designed to use the WiMax network to authenticate.
  12. I must be dense...I don't know what you are referring to. Also...in your auto signature, it references PRL 52644. Is that a custom jobber?
  13. For me, I average approx 3 - 4GB of 3G data per month. And around 1GB of 4G data per month. And I'm right around the 300MB threshold of 3G roaming data, since I use PRL 11115 and roam on Verizon 3G a lot. My usage has dropped a lot since Mid 2011. I used to run about 5GB to 6GB of 3G per month. I seem to get a lot more WiFi access then I used to. I also think I am using streaming data less often, like Pandora and Netflix.
  14. I wonder if it was a difference in device issue? However, it does sound suspicious.
  15. I've only had 2MB+ 3G speed tests twice. And like Chris Matthews, I had a thrill running up my leg both times!
  16. Hey, Jared1202...were you able to sign into your account with the temporary password I sent you? You are showing up as a Guest in this post.
  17. I agree. I wasn't able to get it moved with simple settings. I haven't given up, yet. Now that I know it's important to someone else other than me, I will try even harder to get it moved. Thanks!
  18. This past weekend, Sprint 4G Rollout Updates was tipped off that Sprint had quietly set up an iDEN tower decommissioning website. And of course, we went live online about it right away. GigaOM and Engadget wrote up articles about it after the weekend, and listed S4GRU as the source. We are always bringing you Sprint network info, first. Every day! We can't do it without you. S4GRU Members are always on the prowl, and quick to tip us off. Thanks to you all, we will continue to be first. Never assume I hear everything first. In this case, I had no idea when AJ tweeted to me about the site. But we quickly sprang into action and got the story up first. Thanks to all of you!
  19. Please note...New Member Registration for the new website is temporarily disabled. We had too many people trying to create new accounts, even though they already had an existing one. Please sign into the old website and go to your Inbox in the upper right corner. There you will find a message from S4GRU with your temporary sign in credentials for the new website. New registrations will be disabled on the new website for a few days, until most members have had a successful sign in on the new site. If you are not a member of the S4GRU Website and Forums, you can register on the old website and your account will transfer over to the new site automatically. Thanks everyone for your patience. The new forums are so much better. It's worth it!!!
  20. Wordy...but it has a good sound to it! Sent from Tapatalk App
  21. I wouldn't mind them getting it working without TouchWiz! Sent from Tapatalk App
  22. I remember that about the Evo when it came out. It was substantially larger than anything else before it. I remember everyone was aghast when they saw it the first time. It was massive. Now, my sons Evo next to my E4GT, it looks kind of small. Sent from Tapatalk App
