  1. I was talking about it in another thread, but I didn't create a new one to discuss it. So this is fine. Robert
  2. You're right. This keeps getting off topic. The people who remain on WiMax are extremely heavy users who know they have a good thing going. All they do is snivel and try to scheme how they are going to abuse the next network they can get unlimited on. Nothing new has been discussed in this thread for a long time. It's time to close it. Thanks for the suggestion. Robert
  3. Yes, you perfectly described tiered service and why we shouldn't have unlimited. You make the best points for me. Thanks again! Why is that abusers think they should be unlimited and eat as much as they want, but their over consumption will be made up by those people who don't use as much? Nice try. Robert
  4. The transportation system is not unlimited. If they made it unlimited, nobody would be able to use it because it would be impossibly full. When you showed up at the station, all the trains would be full and you would have to wait for hours to go anywhere. That is what is happening with your data too. You hit send and you have to wait because too many unlimited users are queued ahead of you. THAT ACTUALLY IS A PERFECT ANALOGY. Thanks for making my point. Robert
  5. I've not said "the end" before. I keep saying Q2 2014 is when B41 work on NV sites was schedule to begin. I have been saying that for almost a year now. Robert
  6. But they will not be able to refarm enough to do 20MHz channels for years, if ever. AT&T is in a tough spot. Robert
  7. Abuse is when you use unlimited wireless data when you have other options available to you causing undue strain on the network at everyone else's expense. People who don't think that is abuse are the ones who will be to blame when the unlimited wireless data model comes to an end. Robert
  8. I'm confused. Are you lamenting the fact that there is LTE in Edinburg (Shentel), but not in nTelos land? Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  9. We will add a Sony section once there is credible evidence that there will be a Sony device for the Sprint network. Until then, Sony threads belong in the misc section in the Smartphones forum. People are welcome to discuss Sony there. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  10. I always assumed data abusers had micro peeners. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  11. single track Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  12. B41 is completely independent of B25 and B26. Each goes live when each is ready. There is no set order. Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
  13. It has always just been some stores, not all stores. About a third. We have already had reports of some of our members finding strong LTE signals inside the store, but none or a weak signal outside. So it is happening to some extent. Robert
  14. I think these were errors associated with the data outages that occurred today based on other reports I've read around the forums tonight. Robert
  15. We have not seen/heard credible rumors or seen evidence of a second B25 LTE carrier yet anywhere in the country. There is nothing about it in the Premier Sponsor section either. Not yet, anyway. Robert

  17. A site was accepted recently near I-70 and W. Colfax. May be from that site. Details are available in the Sponsor section on maps. We post every site acceptance to our maps nearly every day. Robert
  18. They are. Some areas, the one Band 25 LTE 5MHz channel is overloading. Sprint is currently counting on Triband to alleviate the overburdening of Band 25. But unfortunately, the iPhone 5 only does one Sprint LTE band. Until Triband device adoption increases significantly and reduces the burden on Band 25, it will likely get worse. Robert
  19. I'd be open for just about any different identifiers between bands. Robert
  20. They blew it. I knew even they were confused the moment they let the Spark icon even signify overloaded B25. No one feels good about Spark when the icon appears on an overloaded sub 1Mbps B25 LTE signal. At a minimum, the Spark icon should have just been for B41 connections. And it would have been even better had they reserved it for B41 sites with upgraded backhaul. Robert
  21. They have to all be just colocated sites, as roughly 40% of Clearwire's WiMax network (not including Expedience and Protection Sites) were on the same site as Sprint. Clearwire has approximately 15,500 sites meeting that definition. 40% of that is 6,200 sites. I would venture a guess they are only decommissioning sites where Clearwire is on the same exact site as Sprint. At least for the time being. Robert
  22. This thread isn't even productive and you guys are using it as a means to back door the other provider rule. It is being closed. Robert
