I thought Coax could provide speeds similar to that? I know this is talking about bundled phone lines, but Personally look at all of the complaints about Uverse with Bundled phone lines for the last bit. My 2 cents.

Personally, I think this is really cool, and I'm glad that it appears FTTNode will soon be very comparable to FTTHome. (Yay, Windstream isn't screwed and my neighborhood that doesn't like construction projects may someday have gigabit internet!)
