EVO on Kid Duty

So my EVO LTE has been passed down to my seven year old with a wifi only connection. I noticed the other day that he was receiving my emails. I have disabled the sync function. My question is how do I totally disassociate the phone with my gmail account without wiping the phone?

Go to accounts and sync, and click your Gmail. Click the menu button in the top right and click remove account.

He just wants to remove the account, not reset the device. Removing the account isn't hard at all.

On many earlier devices the original gmail on the phone can only be removed by a reset

I get that. But if giving my kid or anyone for that matter my old phone. I wipe it clean before they get it.

Heck, the phone was half his already. That boy coerced me into downloading all types of apps!

I did something similar except the five year old left the phone out for the two year old to get it who promptly dialed 911... Now the 5 year old plays with my old IDEN BlackBerry.
