ryman101
That would be awesome if they are right, I always struggled to get usable 3G at the airport on Sprint, that area really needed work. I have been walking around Honeoye Falls and am at work now, no other sign of the mysterious 4G signal I had pop up twice at my house. I am therefore doubtful it came from one of the two towers in town. The signal was really weak, like -115 to -120 before it vanished a few seconds after, so I was definitely on the very edge. I can only assume that it probably came from one of the towers farther to the south. Hopefully all this news means that work in Rochester is going to start getting some momentum again! Chasingchase
When I purchased the note 3 on launch. The assistant manager said he had 4G at tinsel town before he entered the movies last week. When the movie was over it was gone. Told me, he heard by the end of the year most of Rochester should be live. Someone else said March 2014. eibbojtir
I just circumnavigated the airport with a quick stop to Tinseltown. Only slow 3G the whole time. I couldn't even get a 250KBps download from Speedtest.net. No sign of LTE in the west side suburbs. My LTE experience near Rochester has been limited to Dansville and Brockport. Damn that's really sad :-( the customer that reported 4G at the airport must have been talking about WiMax or something. I definitely did have LTE in Honeoye Falls south of the city though, even if it was only a weak signal for a few seconds. I am hoping they won't be too much longer with another big "lightning round" of upgrades. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 4 Well that's just weird then. No idea how someone could be excited about seeing 4G when there's no 4G. Maybe she was right and they are doing testing or something over there, who knows. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
ryman101
Just to make sure I wasn't just going crazy yesterday haha. psu2fan
Well I work on Marketplace Drive in Henrietta, and take 390 South to go home. Hooked up to weak LTE Passing the THruway exit (Where I normally have 5 full bars of 3g) so I think I was actually connecting to a different tower. Once I got past the Thruway overpass I was back on 3g, then another short blip just before the Rush exit. I was streaming Slacker the whole way, no stoppages. I'll fire up sensorly tomorrow (if I remember). Great progress after a long dead period!

I found it browsing through this site, took me a while to figure out what it was but I'm really glad I did. For anyone reading this, the app is called SignalCheck Pro and I really recommend it. ZorroMobile
Sensorly is reporting some LTE in the Henrietta area especially near Hylan and 390. http://www.sensorly.com/map/4G/US/USA/Sprint/lte_310sprint I'm going to go out and about in a bit and see what I can pick up.
twoodward001
I picked up a little LTE yesterday near West Henrietta & Lehigh Station.
psu2fan
I used sensorly coming in to work today, mirrors pretty closely with the map on sensorly. Signal was weak again so I don't think it's coming from the tower next to 390. I'll drive around a bit after work and see if I can pick up some more lte Edited October 11, 2013 by psu2fan
eibbojtir
I took this screenshot this morning just south of the Hylan Dr. exit on 390: http://imgur.com/rZILt4n I was driving so I couldn't get a speed test in, but it looks like LTE is going live, baby!

eibbojtir
Very NICE The tower I picked up on 390 near Hylan Dr. must be pretty far away. I drove past the same spot about two hours later, this time going north, and didn't get any 4G on my phone. Regardless, I'm stoked. Soon! LDG28
To my suprise today, I got started getting 4G LTE today while out in Henrietta NY. I was talking on the phone when I lost the call and then I looked at my phone to redial and I saw 4G and was so shocked. I don't remember reading that the Rochester market had it 4G turned on yet. I haven't even found it on the Sprint list of cities with LTE turned on. Edited October 14, 2013 by LDG28

twoodward001
LTE seems to be hit or miss in parts of Henrietta, but nothing much else in the Rochester area so far... At least where I travel (Greece, Hilton, Chili, City & Henrietta) Edited October 14, 2013 by twoodward001
