  1. I use Lightflow. It takes over your notification light completely so anything you want using the notification light you would set up through Lightflow. I have mine set so the light is red while charging and turns off at 100%.
  2. Nexus 5 Traveled to Mankato, MN. All sites yellow or green except one. LTE works like a champ. Back to Minneapolis this afternoon and no LTE. All purple sites.
  3. Since you are a sponsor go to the NV Completed map. Look for the purple icons. Those are your trouble sites I believe. At least that is what the data we are providing is trying to prove right now.
  4. Before any of this has started to happen were the Samsung sites ever going to have the NV part of the upgrade done? Why weren't they doing both at the same time? Is there a technical limitation of some sort or was it they just wanted LTE rolled out as fast as possible and didn't care about the 3G? Seems like a waste to do the LTE part then go back and do the 3G part. I am awfully afraid I am in a no mans land now that is going to be bad for a very long time unless you get the right handset, which is the wrong handset for me. How could they not have known this would happen?
  5. Hopefully never but Sprint absolutely has to get it working in areas that have officailly launched. The areas that haven't launched with people using LTE right now can complain but really the LTE isn't official yet so there isn't much we can do about that even though it doesn't seem "fair".
  6. Nexus 5. St Paul Minneapolis area (near Metrodome). No LTE now when I had it on my Galaxy s3. Purple areas causing issues. I drove south 20-25 miles into the yellow area (a little south of Lakeville) and had LTE. On the completed maps the 4g only purple area is what is causing my issues apparently. I can force it to LTE in the 4636 menu but it will not do it on its own.
  7. Can't believe sprint is releasing phones that behave like this on their network. The worst part is they are silent about it and their cs people are clueless.
  8. I just picked up two of these Nokia DT-900 wireless chargers. ATT has them on sale for $24.50 and you get 10% off each one if you buy two. I think the percent off goes up even more if you buy 3. Free shipping as well. So far it has worked fine. It isn't picky about placement at all. http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/accessories/chargers/sku6290260.html#fbid=MA336A00z6H

  10. Your picture makes this comment even better.
  11. Damn, this makes me feel good. I'm sorry man... This Nexus phone has been one hassle after another from the very moment I received it but this makes me feel so much better.
  12. I would imagine flashing a factory google image would wipe any software lock since the phones are the same hardware but I'd be nervous to try it on a new phone.
  13. Hm, you shouldn't have to do that first. I have not set up sprint's voicemail yet on this phone. If I try calling the voicemail number (my number) she tries to walk me through setting it up. When I first downloaded google voice and ran it I chose skip, then on the next screen chose do not use to make calls. Then a screen pops up and you have to call some number. I just touch that number and it opens my dialer and dials and makes a couple booping sounds. Then in the voicemail settings in the phone (open the dialer>settings>call settings>voicemail) I had to change it from "My carrier" to "Google voice". Then when I go back to the google voice app it completes the setup. That last part about changing it from "my carrier" to "google voice" might have been the issue. Nothing guides you to do that really.
  14. Except an HP printing app that has a three star rating in the play store....
  15. When you first set up the google voice app you should choose the "skip" option for integration and that you will not use it to make any calls. Then you can use google voice just like the sprint visual voice mail app while your texts and everything remain separate. I think you can un-integrate it from the website on a PC. I am not sure if that's what you are trying to accomplish but that's what I do. Google voice is basically nothing more than a visual voicemail app for me while my texts continue to go to my texting app.
  16. On Android Central someone posted Radio Shack is $129 on contract. They did not give the off contract price or whether they will even sell it off contract.
  17. You are the very first person I've seen report that a Sprint N5 has the issue. While I am sorry this is is happening it really would be a much better situation if the Sprint phones have the issue as well. Then maybe they will not blame it on our Google "GSM" phones that have "SIM cards" that the Sprint phones don't need because they are CDMA... Your "symptoms" are the same as everyone else's. I would imagine you could go to the dialer, type *#*#4636#*#* and put it to LTE only and your LTE will connect like a champ as well.
  18. Yeah, especially considering they probably have an exemption for out of stock items.
  19. Is there an easy way to find this out? If that's the wimax band or spectrum or whatever I would say that the area I live in must be band 41. I had wimax everywhere (outside) when I had my evo shift and Nexus s.
  20. Makes me curious what kind of LTE I have around me and where I work. Your description of when LTE doesn't work is exactly my issue. Only difference is I have not found a place where it will work at all yet. The only sort of silver lining for me is that LTE on my GS3 used to work halfway to my job but would be weak and/or cut out which made data unuseable for a stretch. Being stuck on 3G means data has worked the entire way to work...
  21. I've seen mentioned the power buttons rattle and the OIS in the camera rattles. Doesn't bother me I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if every Nexus 5 power buttons rattles. Hold the power button when you tap and I bet the rattle goes away.
  22. Does anyone in an Ericsson market have LTE issues? I've seen only Samsung and Alcatel people chiming in so far. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2120-listing-of-legacy-vendorsnetwork-vision-vendors-by-market/
  23. You go to settings>mobile networks>carrier settings and update the profile or PRL there.
  24. I activated my phone 12 hours ago and still can't connect to LTE at all. I live in MN.
  25. I wonder if iPhones can be done like that? If it is done like the iPhones, like guessed above, I assume that's how we will need to do it. I wonder if the N5 will come with a sim card. That would also be an indicator I suppose if it doesn't come with one and we need one.
