I posted a comment about this in the Samsung thread but thought I would throw it out here because it might be a network issue possibly?
I just made the switch to Sprint last Friday with 2 S7 edges for me and my wife. I haven't been able to make or receive HD calls on these phones since we switched over??
I went to the store and they said that I should be able to make and receive HD calls on the S7 edge. They even tried to call me on their phone to mine and it showed attempting HD call on their end but the end result was no HD call??
I was looking forward to keeping some version of HD voice (WB enabled codec through 1x advanced) when I switched from T-Mobile after using their VOLTE which was crystal clear as I still use my phone as a phone and the downgrade to standard voice quality from VOLTE is very noticeable.
Any thoughts guys on why my call log doesn't show HD calls between me and my wife nor does it say attempting HD call? Is it network related or market related issues with the S7 edge?
Thx
HD Voice rarely works for me, even when I was on my LG G3. It only works about 50% of the time when calling my sister's Sprint phone and she is in Chicago. Either way, Sprint's voice quality is a lot better than the other carriers, so it doesn't matter that much. If only HD voice would work carrier to carrier, that would be great. I'm tired of mushmouth Verizon callers.

How's the battery life since 6.0. And dose the Doze feature work while it's in your pocket through out the day? I'm on my feet usually from 4am to about 2pm then home, at home I don't mind if I have to charge it. I just don't want to be half way through the day and have 20% left like my current phone.
Sent from a Note 4
Battery life has been ok. Though I have never gotten more than 2 hours of Screen on time on mine. I don't know if that is something with Sprint and that I am stuck with a marginal (via Wi-Ex 1900Mhz repeater) B25 signal in my office all day or what exactly causes that.
Doze in Marshmallow will only work if the device is not moving around. In Android N (Nutella?), Doze will kick in right away. So I'm hoping we will see Android N by this fall on the Moto X Pure 2015. But who knows with how Lenovo has been lately.

how is the lte band reception on it
I am very happy with it. I found myself on LTE so much more than I was on my LG G3.

Call Sprint tech support and have them submit a Click-It Ticket. At least that is what they did for my Moto X Pure Edition and that took care of it.

Hey everyone,
I was having some issues with my phone. After some time on the phone with Motorola support they gave me these 2 codes for the data and engineering screens. Not sure if this helps anyone or if this is already posted somewhere but the dial pad codes are:
*#*#data#*#*
*#*#33284#*#*
Thanks, yes it was previously posted by AJ a while back when I was one of the first, if not the first to get my Moto X Pure (2015) activated on Sprint: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/7063-moto-x-2015-pure-edition-users-thread/page-19&do=findComment&comment=443332

March 1. Also, activation and upgrade fees will no longer be waived for accounts with corporate discounts.
What about those of us with the Credit union discount where we do not currently pay activation or upgrade fees? Will it still be free?

I see only a mention of using small cells to densify the network in the release, nothing about Macro sites. Was anything mentioned on the call about more macro sites to densify/expand coverage?

Do you know exactly what antenna you used? I just ordered this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZAIQDCQ and it doesn't seem to affect my signal at all. I have 1 bar with and without this antenna, and still get a pretty decent connection. Usually 10+mbps but if I can get an antenna that will make it even faster, that would be amazing!! I just dont want to waste anymore time/money on antenna's that dont work, because I assume they aren't running the correct frequencies or something.
I ordered this: http://3gstore.com/product/5423_surecall-magnetic-mount-antenna.html and they state the following: "The Zing/AC771S has two antenna ports - either port can be used (there is no difference in performance between the two ports)"
However it did NOT help my signal at all, despite the 5dB claim. This makes me wonder why I have seen other sites sell a Y antenna cable that connects both ports. Would it not make sense to populate both ports? I'm sure the old dock that Sprint sells has both ports connected, so I believe this to be wrong.

My wife's MXPE on Verizon just showed the update to MM when I did a manual update check.
I've had Marshmallow on my MXPE for about a week and it definitely has some issues. The Cell Standby bug is back. It has used about 880mAh so far and my Screen on Time is only 43min and the BATT is down to 48% since being off the charger for about 13 hours.
Bluetooth is also back to draining the battery with my Moto 360 attached. 551mAh so far This wasn't an issue prior to MM. I may just factory reset to see if that clears some of these issues up.

Marshmallow (6.0) OTA on the Moto X Pure does not seem to enable CA, but like AJ said, there is no way for us to confirm it is on or off. That said, while running a (very rare for me) Speedtest.net test side-by-side with an "Ultimate Test Drive" Note 5, the the MXPE will hit ~20-24Mb/s while the Note 5 hit 60-65Mb/s while testing on the same server (Atlanta - Comcast) and SCP values are identical for the B41 connection.
It's nice to know that CA is enabled on the tower/site on our property, despite being in what is considered a rural area in NC.

How embarrassing. This report should be all it takes for Marcelo to put Charlotte at or near the top of the NGN priority list.

It will be great if through NGN, Sprint adds hundreds of Macro sites all over North Carolina. Just about every metro area has grown, especially Charlotte, yet Sprint has NOT kept up while AT&T and Verizon have. Heck, even T-Mobile had done a decent job up here in the Hickory Metro area by densifying and adding macro sites in more rural areas. It's sad because many tower sites are at capacity now that T-Mobile has Co-located since we have Carolina West Wireless here in addition to Sprint, Vz, AT&T and T-MO.
Sprint hasn't done a good enough job to cover I-40, or HWY 16 and 321, both of which see a huge amount of traffic from Charlotte to I-40. I certainly hope those two routes are in the NGN plan. We could also use additional tower sites from I-40 north on HWY 16 to North Wilkesboro. Nextel used to have a couple of tower sites up that way that Sprint never converted.

Carolina West Wireless has always shown as Sprint without a Roaming indicator. Would that change now that it is showing as Roaming+ or might it stay the same and continue to just show as "Sprint"?
-
We could use it up here in the Hickory area. We don't need it for capacity so much, but even B41 does not work very far from the tower sites. It seems like they haven't gone full power on that either.

I am very happy to see that Sprint is embracing unlocked devices. Hopefully the One Plus and other devices aren't too far behind.

Same here unfortunately.
Interesting. It is a darn shame we don't have a contact at Sprint that would be willing to work with S4GRU members when quirky things like this come up.

The Sprint.com website now lists the Slate 8 Tablet for $10/mo on Easy Pay or $49.99 for a 2-Year agreement.
It also says "ALREADY A CUSTOMER? SIGN IN TO GET THE Slate 8" TABLET FOR FREE! Upgrades excluded. Req. new 2-yr. agmt./activation." Free would be great, so long as they allow me to add it to my Family Share plan.
Also, the website does not list it as a Spark device, only LTE. It could be that they just don't have all of the correct specs up there just yet.

Any new news about this tablet? Back on September 10th, the local corporate Sprint store had just received their demo/display unit and was expecting the tablet to launch within a few days. As of last night, the Sprint website still did not have it listed.
I'm thinking about picking one of these up for a family member, as long as the price is right.

I'm experiencing an issue where I am missing incoming calls if my MXPE is on Band 41 LTE and connected to WiFi at home. As soon as I turn WiFi off, calls come in without issue while the device remains on B41. (I'm usually on B41 at -104 to -107dBm according to SignalCheck Pro). I don't seem to have this issue when on B25 or B26.
I previously had intermittent issues with my LG G3 missing calls if it was on B41, but I don't recall if I had WiFi on at the times that it was an issue. So, has anyone encountered this before? Is -107dBm going to be an issue on B41 to receive calls? I am in A/L land if that makes a difference.

Seems like Global roaming and Open World are not compatible with the Moto X Pure, as Customer service is not able to re add the services on my account after activating my Moto X Pure. Worldwide support supposedly contacted tech support and they stated that the plans do not work. Anyone experiencing the same issue?
EDITED:
I THINK I just added both on my line with my Moto X Pure 32GB. When on the Sprint website, does it show your device like this?:
I immediately received an email stating the following "Added:International:Sprint Open World ℠ - $0.00/mo**
Added:International:Activate international calling (required for Sprint Open World ℠ add-on) - $0.00/mo**"
10 Minutes later I received a message saying my order has been canceled. So it could be currently incompatible. I really don't understand why. Sprint needs to get itself on-board with unlocked device support soon. This includes VVM and SprintZone standalone apps in the Play store.
I hope you are able to get it added soon.

How much data is left in the 32gb version? Can u save photos to sd card? And can u transfer apps to sd as well? If you can answer any of these...thanks
Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
It was around 24.06 Total Space is what is left for Apps and files. Yes, you can save pics AND transfer apps to SD, well, at least apps that support doing that.

3 days in and my Moto X Pure Edition 32GB is still working very well. It is so much faster than the LG G3 and stays connected to 4G a bit more too, especially B41. In the break room at work, I would constantly drop to 3G after a few minutes of connecting to B25 or B26. Now I stay connected to LTE the entire time, sometimes B41, but usually B26 and rarely B25. It makes me very happy to have a usable device to use when I have downtime. 3G gets too saturated during the day to be useful at all, so count me in as a satisfied MXPE user on Sprint.

The only thing that Sprint Order Support needs is the SKU: CZ2144LWC. You can also confirm with them that the UPC ends in ...40146 as that is the important part of a UPC.
The biggest issue with Sprint is that their agents think that we are referring to the original Moto X (2013), even though we tell them Moto X Pure Edition. So that is not helping the situation.

What band number does SignalCheck Pro display?
AJ
1st Edit: Signal Check Pro shows the correct Band 41 correctly. Still checking the others. Trying to get it to cycle.

Network Vision/LTE - Charlotte Market

I hope Sprint corporate is sending some NGN love to the greater Hickory area (part of CLT market) as we have too many dead zones due to the hilly terrain and lack of sufficient macro sites.
Sprint could easily fix HWY 16 from CLT to Taylorsville and beyond and all of HWY 321 with small cells and in some cases, B41 backhaul. It would be really quite awesome to have service where it just hasn't been economical enough for Sprint to co-locate on macro sites. I just hope Sprint will see the benefit in this and act upon it. Also, I-40 could really use small cells to close the numerous coverage gaps between Asheville and Winston-Salem. 2016 could be an amazing year for Sprint.
