Has anyone picked up any b26 around there too.
Not that I know of, but my fellow Sprint users that I know are like me, we all have old single band phones. I'm hoping to get a new one this summer, but haven't done it yet.

I'm going to go ahead and "call it" and say the local towers have launched 1x800 voice. Central kentucky along the 127 corridor from Danville to Frankfort is completely covered in 1x800 voice. Never once lost signal from my driveway to the capitol today including a stop in the Harrodsburg Wal-mart and Danville Kroger.

Looking forward to this, but I'm curious to see how the rest of the industry reacts to spectrum that can't be used within a couple hundred miles of the coastline. Wonderful for big cities like Chicago and Kansas City, but worthless for the "flagship" cities like NYC and Los Angeles.

Pcadvisor.co.uk is reporting third quarter availability in the UK and a price of around £550-£600 ($928-1012).

I'm so happy I've learned to be frugal these days. My Evo LTE can make it a few more months if this phone comes to Sprint

Any word on RF performance? Looking at a possible upgrade in the near future and while I would love an M8 saving a few bucks is a good idea at the moment...

I have a feeling it's for the streaming/backend stuff more than the headphones and brand. As far as the appointing Dr. Dre and the other guy to positions in Apple corporate I assume that was a bargaining chip and little more. Maybe an appearance WWDC this year and that's it.

That's a curious thing to say

Could Hesse possibly be bumped to the board? Or maybe Legere could take COO and leave Hesse at CEO... I dunno.

Man, that was painful to watch.
I even cringed when that dude laughed at 1:17:58 and Perlman freezes up and stares at them.

Hoping they announce some SoftBank love for US Sprint users before a possible trip to Japan next spring...

I'm sure the FCC will overnight their "Approved" rubber stamp to Dallas so that AT&T can use it on the merger documents themselves. No need for oversight or discussion like that nasty Sprint company deserves for wanting to buy T-Mobile. No sir.

I still don't know what they're doing with the 900MHz spectrum. I know the plan is to form a 3MHz LTE band in that spectrum, but do they really want another little sliver in yet another band? Can they make a deal to move Solinc+others to 900Mhz and have full use of the 7MHz spectrum throughout the country minus IBEZ? Or swap their holdings in the 900Mhz band for 800Mhz spectrum and reband to give themselves 10Mhz in the SMR band? I know it will take a while to do that, but the 900Mhz band will also take a long time to implement. Or even sell their holding in the 900MHz band?
I'm sure the return wouldn't be worth it, BUT would there be a benefit in some areas of moving the CDMA signal to 900mhz and using 800 for LTE only?

Frankly, I can't understand why many people seem to think Sprint shouldn't spend money on AWS 3. The feds already said they are leery of a T-Mobile buyout by Sprint/Softbank, and that all future transactions will include the BRS/EBS in the spectrum screen. Since the next 2 auctions aren't subject to said screen, I think that Sprint should participate in the AWS 3 auction, and build out an LTE network on AWS 3 as well for capacity purposes. If they can get another 10 MHz nationwide or more, then that's just icing on the cake. Remember, Sprint is doing CA on the Clearwire Spectrum, so that doesn't stop them from doing CA on the FDD/LTE spectrum they own as well. CA with 800SMR, AWS 3, & PCS would yield up to 15 x 15 in many markets. That would yield some pretty decent data speeds.
How difficult is it for future upgrades to the network like this? Would the NV antenna units on the rack be capable of transmitting a signal over the AWS band with an RRU upgrade/addition?

I assume these would be on Virgin & Boost?

Usually searching for the article through google will get you around the WSJ paywall

I'm pretty skeptical of this for now. I am not an engineer by any means, but having dealt with more than my fair share of salesmen, company reps, and insurance people I have come to the conclusion that if it's too good be true, it probably is. I want to be wrong, but I won't hold my breath.

Posting this here since it may be tied into the Sprint partnership. Could be interesting.
