Has anyone found any TD-LTE panels in the area? I read the Tampa market was 1 of the 8 that sprint was going to start with the TD-LTE.

I hope not. There are still some pretty big holes out there. And in some spots the 4G signal is so bad your better off switching back to 3G.

The absolute worst for me is the 4 St. Codys. But in general I don't have to many problems when it comes to getting a decent signal inside.

I just read an article about td-lte and Sprint. Long story short it stated clearwire could theoretically use its 40 hrz band to get speeds of 168 mbps down. How realistic is this?

I found a new tower lit on 1st St. N.E. and about 60 Ave. N.E. in St. Pete. I mapped a little.

St. Pete for me has been problem free. My data hasn't changed. ... knock on wood.

I just found a decent lte signal on 38 ave n and 4th st n in St. Pete. I mapped for a bit. I wanted to map more but had a Dr. Appt.

For sure. I'm still hopefull. I know of 4 towers I've seen contractors on within the last 2 months. (Not sure if it was Sprint related or not) The towers were located 49 st n and about 44 ave n. Next was 54th ave n and 1st n. Next was 22 ave n and about 56th st n. The last was 62 ave s and MLK. All in St. Petersburg.

It seems like there hasn't been any headway as for as lte. I know there is more to a build out than flipping a switch, it just seems like they've slowed way down.

Tower on 40 ave south and 6 st. s in St. Pete is up. Just mapped a little a few minutes ago.

I did a little mapping on 4st n and around 25 ave n and on mlk and 22 ave n in St. Pete. I was also able to map a little in tropical shores off of 22 ave s. yesterday.

Just seen a crane and basket at 62 ave s and mlk s. In St. Pete.

The racetrack is on 126ave n and about 40 st n. I've mapped there once before when I found a week signal. But It slipped my mind to map on my way out last night.

When they switch to the 800mhz will my gs3 automaticly be able to use the band or do I have to get a new phone?

I can't believe there is still nothing east of 275 in St. Petersburg. Other than the tower by the Howard Franklin.

I think there is another tower on near 44 ave n and 28 st. n. I mapped a bit a few minutes ago.

You will be in good areas for lte with those cross streets. East of 275 is a different story. There's very little lte east of 275.

Either way I think it'll be intresting to see how Sprint works out. I don't know enough about Dish network to give an educated

Dish network has offered 25.5 billion in cash and stocks to buy sprint. I read that on Fox 13 web site.

I've had stong LTE all day in south st. pete

I found tower work going on at 6 st s. and 40 ave s. The crane operator brought things to a stop because of 30mph wind up top.
